About this listen

From the best-selling author of Dumped, Actually comes a laugh-out-loud story about saving your job...and maybe saving the planet in the process.

Meet Ellie Cooke. When it comes to all things environmental she’s, well, a bit "green". It’s not that she doesn’t care about things like climate change and plastic pollution, it’s just that life has always got in the way of that sort of thing.

But when the PR firm Ellie works for is taken over by keen environmentalist Nolan Reece, it’s clear that if she wants to save her job, she’s going to have to get serious about being green—or face being recycled.

Going green is no walk in the park, though. It involves a lot of big changes, tough choices...and at least one case of accidentally showing your knickers off to your boss.

Can Ellie do enough to save her job, and maybe do her bit to help save the planet while she’s at it? And what will Nolan think of her, now that she can’t stop thinking about him...?

The narrator for this story is probably the best I've ever heard! She was amazing. The story is good, unless you are offended by an overuse of the F-bomb. This was not my first Nick Spaulding book, but the use of the F-bomb was probably double what I was expecting. Ellie is a problem waiting to happen.

The Best Narration

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. It is and was highly amusing to listen about a girl who did not know anything about climate control to one who actually listens and learns, just to save her job. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys listening to a really good book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I'm just sad it was so short. It was fun and had many of the typical humorous, snort-out-loud moments Spaulding has become known to expertly deliver. Paired with Nick's witty storyline was an excellent narrator who definitely enhanced the appeal of the book with her interpretation of the main character. Get it, you won't be sorry.

Another Spaulding Hit!

Protagonist brainwashed with false climate change info touted as true. Hope the author doesn’t really believe the bs his character has been fed.

Hated this book. Love every book up till now by this author. Usually get into the story by page 2. Not this time. The humor was not there like his other books. Love the way climate change people have all the answers. Now, if we just made enough money to pay for all the electric cars or a place to plug them in, that would be great. By the way, since the government insists on electric without burning coal, lets get ready for more expense. Until they make it easier to use them, I will stick to my small SUV, which I need to get around in the snow in the winter. 😉.

If the water that comes out of the tap could be trusted to not have other "stuff" in it, I might drink it. So I will continue to buy plastic bottles. I do recycle them. As well as paper.

Green??
