Publisher's summary

A friendly feline and a feisty librarian merrily roll along in the newest Bookmobile Cat mystery...until murder stops them in their tracks!

It's the summer season in Chilson, Michigan, and the town is packed with tourists ready for a fabulous Fourth of July fireworks show. Minnie Hamilton and her rescue cat, Eddie, have spent a busy day on the bookmobile, delivering good cheer and great reads to even the library's most far-flung patrons. But Minnie is still up for the nighttime festivities, eager to show off her little town to her visiting niece, Katrina.

But then, during the grand finale of the fireworks display, Katrina discovers a body. Minnie recognizes the victim as one of the bookmobile's most loyal patrons. And she knows she - and Eddie - will have to get to the bottom of this purr-fect crime.

gone with a whisker bookmobile series bk8

loved it. Minnie gets herself into some strange situations but love the way the reader never forgets she is a librarian and the bookmobile's driver and then we have the ever present Eddie the Bookmobile Cat--can't wait for the next adventure. Great ending!!

Love the cat mobile series

This book was great. It was entertaining with the mystery, love story and family matters all in one. I love Eddy, he is a hero!

Our favorite book so far

This installment of the Minnie Hamilton series is by far the best book of the series. There are unpredictable twists and turns, a couple surprises along the way, and a challenge for Minnie that has nothing to do with the Bookmobile. As usual, Minnie takes things in stride....sort of.
You will not be disappointed!

Fun, light, cozy mystery

I've really been enjoying these books overall, but some of the character decisions can be distracting. I can only guess they reflect views of the author. For instance, who goes around recommending The Fountainhead at random? And why can't Minnie adapt to her niece's name change? Kate and Katrina are not even that different. And why is she so loyal to her boss, no matter how foolish they are? It's very weird. Anyway, it's overall really fun, but I'm frustrated by some of the choices. Great to listen to while doing things like making art or doing chores, for sure.

Fireworks and a Shooting

Eight books in and I'm still loving the Bookmobile Cat Mysteries. Eddie gets himself into some tight spots 🐱 but he can usually count on Minnie to help him out. This time though it is Minnie's niece, Kate that stumbles over a dead body. Dealing with a teenager is rough enough, but now can they solve a murder? Or two? I love the people in the library in this series, on the bookmobile route . . . and especially Eddie.
