Publisher's summary

The paranormal cozy mystery series continues, from USA Today best-selling author Nancy Warren

Under the Great British Baking Contest tent, the competition's heating up to be crowned Best Baker in all of Britain. For amateur baker Poppy Wilkinson, there are mysteries, secrets, and lies, even murders to solve. As a fledgling witch, Poppy's having enough trouble controlling her sponge cake, never mind trying to control her powers. Besides solving crime, Poppy's also trying to uncover the mystery surrounding her own background. Will she discover who she really is before she gets sent home? Or worse?

The Great Witches Baking Show is a loving homage to all competition baking shows, but especially Bake-Off. Imagine Bake-Off with witches and murders—and recipes! Set in the lovely English countryside, these are classic British mysteries with a twist. There's no gore, swearing, or sex in these paranormal cozy mysteries, just good fun, quirky characters, an interfering ghost and an adorable familiar or three. Sink your teeth into this bingeable series today.

This boxed set includes...A Bundt Instrument - book 4, Blood, Sweat and Tiers - book 5, Crumbs and Misdemeanors - book 6, Gingerdead House - a holiday whodunnit novella.

Poppy is kind of annoying

The books are well written and, obviously, thoroughly researched. The one thing I don’t care for is the continuing story of Poppy trying to find her birth mother. I read cozy mysteries cause I like how they wrap up with no Loose ends. I am a child of international adoption so I understand the longing to find and understand your roots. However I found Poppy’s relentless and pushiness to discover more about her mother super freaking annoying. Thank you.

Fabulous! Well worth the credit!

I have been so pleased with this series! It is truly adorable. Poppy is such a lovable witchy, baking sleuth. And Gateau has me staring at my black cat waiting for her to do something to show me she is hiding familiar powers.

You will not be sorry you spent a credit on this series.

Narrator too breathy for me

The narrator's habit of taking very loud breaths just about every other sentence began to drive me crazy. As for the story, I enjoyed the first three books in this series more than I thought I would, but the fourth book seemed much more silly and shallow. I'm not even going to finish the fourth book or the other books in this combined volume. Sorry I bought it.
