All my children are in their teens and I even have young adults and had to adjust some of the topics but overall I got the message.

Great writing. The narrator was the wrong choice. Was very distracting for the first half of the book. I think I need to get a hard copy. Probably for the best anyways. I think the nuggets she shares would go well as a daily devotional.

This is for sure a hidden gem and just what my tired and grumpy mom heart needed. Valerie was able to share my own thoughts with such clarity. Praise the Lord Jesus for this book and the truth in it to walk away from our own selfish self to embrace the abundant life God has for us in the thick and thin of motherhood! Well done!

I’ve listened to this book numerous times, both during my highs and lows. It always offers something relevant to whatever I’m going through. I admire the author, and personally, I really enjoyed the narrator. I don’t understand the criticism it’s received.

Great content. I really enjoyed the author's perspective and writing, but I really struggled with the narration. speeding it up to x1.10 actually helped in that department. I'd probably buy a secondhand physical copy if I came across one, just so I could go back through and take notes. Great read for Christian moms who are looking for the joy in parenting amidst the grumpy moments.

This book is so refreshing as a Christian. I often begin to read Christian based books, especially in regards to mommas right now. I am sometimes disappointed because they end up lacking Biblical advice, and more so that mommas advice. The scriptures referenced are spot on as encouraging or gut punching. I love the prayers! “Clipped” each of them so I can reference. Thank you for something we all need to hear and fully understand.

Every mother should read or listen to this book. I am half tempted to listen to it every day. It has grounded me and settled my soul in a way I will never be able to thank Valerie. This book is absolutely life giving! I will be buying it and sharing it with all the mothers in my life!
