This was a great story it leads into the Kilo 5 trilogy. "The Fall of Reach" by Eric Nylund is what really pulled me into the Halo universe he wrote it so well how it connects to the first game and "First Strike" follows it to lead to Halo 2, masterful.

The Spartan 3s the Spartan 2s the book is full of them and if you love Spartans then you will definitely love this book

if you didn't already know this sets the stage for a trilogy which is also very good. Kilo-five series by Karen Travis. that is also a favorite.
