About this listen

Hilarious instructions for achieving a stable romantic relationship from a professionally funny couple who did it themselves

Who better to write a very humorous manual about evolving modern relationships than two CollegeHumor veterans and viral-video stars who happen to be a real-life husband-and-wife team? With candor, bite, and charm, HEY, U UP? takes listeners on an eight-chapter journey through the trials of hooking up to the foibles of marriage, and combines the authors' prescriptive advice with the unfolding story of their own relationship. HEY, U UP? tackles all the milestones of relationships today- both glorious and embarrassing - with sections ranging from "How to Ask Someone Out After You've Slept with Them" all the way to "Establish Your Family as the Christmas Family by Turning Your Significant Other Against Their Own Parents."

Heard about it on Naddpod

I've been listening to the Not another dungeons and dragons podcast and kept hearing this book get plugged and figured I'd check ot out. I have been having a rough time in the relationship I am currently in and it wasn't really a fault of either of us I just didnt have my head in a good place but this book actual got me to appreciate this lady a whole lot more than I had been especially for all her faults because one of mine was wishing I didnt have to be the brain all the time but it turned out she was pulling as much weight being the emotional fiber between the two of us. I even got some of my friends to listen to it and the podcast and we are all slightly less sad than we were, and I think this will actually help a couple of them figure things out.

Hey, u up? (For a good listening experience)

I listened to the book because after a year of hearing Emily and Murph plug it in not another dnd podcast my interest had slowly built into a need to listen to the book.

The book was fun and entertaining, and Emily and Murph read it well. They did a good job conveying the graphs and illustrations of the book through audio, and read in a way that felt natural and pleasant to listen to.

There are many fun jokes, but it also provides interesting social commentary as it pokes fun at patriarchal traditions and points out the ethical problems with diamond trade.

Good read, I absolutely recommend it.

Heartwarming and Hilarious

Emily and Brian are such funny people. This book made me laugh so much and it is one of those books that make you feel warm. Having Murph and Emily reading this only makes it that much better. It truly feels like a friend giving you very funny and pretty helpful advice under all the satire. 💜

Great duo and great book

This perhaps my favorite satire dating advice book but then again it is the only one I have. Though if I were to find another one this one would most likely be better than it.

loved the book and love them!

This book's take on the modern dating scene is both entertaining and insightful. A witty, honest, and relatable guide to the millennial courting scene, Brian and Emily use their experience to give us a unique and comedic perspective that warms the heart.

Brian's and Emily's mixture of sketch and parody is as entertaining as it is quirky. My significant other and I genuinely cannot get enough of them, be it through College Humor or their incredibly successful podcasts. HEY, U UP?, did not disappoint.
