About this listen

My hockey star boyfriend cheated on me with not one, but three puck bunnies. In. The. Same. Night.

Hat Trick, motherpucker.

I was mad, okay? Furious. I gave up the career of my dreams for him, and how did he repay me? I just wanted to make him hurt as much as he hurt me. So I slept with a couple hockey stars of my own. From a rival team. Oops. The best cure for a broken heart is an orgasm.

Joni, Noah, and Hatch eased the sting of my cheating ex. It was the perfect rebound, no-strings-attached arrangement...or so I thought. Now I’ve got three hockey players comparing sticks.

One is nothing but a hookup. One is a stage-five clinger. One is trying to get me fired.

And...H-E-double-hockey-sticks, one of them could possibly be the love of my life.

This is one Hat Trick to remember.

Would make a great series!

I loved this book! It was my first by these authors and I think it would make a great start to a series. It's a rom com but it's not as predictable as most and I really liked that. It's also very 🔥 🔥 and I like that Peyton is unapologetic about how she rebounds from her cheating ex. A one night stand does mean you have low morales as a woman and this story addresses that double standard.

I really enjoyed the performance by Amanda Stribling as well. She did a great job bringing the characters to life.

Hilarious!💜

This story was so funny! Peyton is a hot mess!! 😂
She has no clue what/who she wants. Following her on this journey was so entertaining!!
The chemistry and camaraderie between her and all her hockey players was on fire. 🔥
Dealing with all that testosterone as well as an ex-boyfriend hockey player and an a boss with double standards was quite the roller coaster ride!!
I can’t imagine any narrator who could have performed these characters better than Amanda Stribling. Her delivery was flawless and she has a panic mode like no other 🤣🤣.
Fantastic job.
This is a standalone with an HEA.
I highly recommend this book!

Pucking funny

This book was great. I went in blind so I didn't know what to expect. But it was so uproariously funny! Payton up and left her dream career to follow her famous hockey player boyfriend. Said boyfriend not only cheated on her but had a video uploaded for the world to see. Payton dumps him and starts a journey to get her life back on track. If you're ready for a good laugh and some hot & steamy hockey players, I highly recommend this book.

Hilarious and Fun

I absolutely love this book. You will be laughing out loud. It's fun and sexy. There are some super hot scenes. Peyton is awesome. She is so down to earth and you just can't help but love her. She's had some bad things happen recently with an Ex and is determined to get back on her feet. However; in the hockey world there is a huge double standard and things aren't working out quite how she expected. Noah, Hatch, and Joni are all such well written characters. I love them all. Joni grows on you. Noah you will love right from the get go. You just have to listen!

Amanda Stribling does an awesome job narrating. She is consistent and fun .

So cute!

I laughed a lot through this book! It's super cute and funny. The narrator nailed it! I wish there was a better wrap up. She definitely chooses and the two are together but I like to see a 2 years down the road or even longer is better

Awesome if you don't read/remember descriptions

BUY THE AUDIOBOOK WITHOUT READING THE DESCRIPTION!!! I realize it may be too late for this if you're reading reviews. If that's the case, buy the audiobook and let it sit in your library for awhile so you can listen to it without knowing what direction the book is going. The entire story is from the h's point of view, so there's just one (fabulous) female narrator. I loved the contrast between Amanda Stribling's sweet voice and the four-letter words. The emotion she put into her performance made the story very engaging, funny and entertaining. I would give the performance more than 5 stars if I could.

I am so glad that I didn't know anything other than the title and the narrator when I started listening. I'm 100% sure I loved the story more because of it, because I wasn't really sure what direction the story was going to go. It wasn't until almost half way through the book that I could tell where it was headed (it would have been obvious a LOT sooner if I had read the description). I read/listen to so many stories that I love when they're not completely predictable. I also really liked how the story ended.

Since I don't want to share any spoilers, but want to give an idea of who should just blindly go buy the audiobook, I'll tell you a little about my reading preferences instead. I read/listen to a lot of rom coms, contemporary romance and suspense. I like hockey, and I prefer low-angst stories over miscommunications and relationship drama. Books should end on a positive relationship note, and HFN/HEA are equally acceptable if the HEA timeline is reasonable. Since I read so many romance books, I appreciate when the story is more unique and the final couple isn't immediately obvious.

If you share some of those preferences and have a tolerance for swearing when characters' emotions call for it (used creatively and NOT in a way that suggests the authors have a limited vocabulary), you should pick up Hat Trick without reading any more about it and let the adventure begin. 5 stars for being different!

I laughed throughout this book!! audio perfection!

I really, really enjoyed this audiobook!! Yes, she's pretty immature but that's how her part is written! Peyton got screwed over royally... lost her job after being cheated on by her hockey player by. Then she makes some bad choices while she was vulnerable.
But, in the end, after she kisses (or, ya know, has sex with) a few frogs, gets the prince and her fairy tale ending .

p.s. this book is a rom-COM.. its meant to be funny. there were plenty of moments I was lmao and so freakin glad I had my earbuds in!
Amanda does a fantastic job narrating all the characters, especially Peyton!!

nope

I wanted to like this more. but a story filled with bad decisions and a nymphomaniac with low morales is not my preference. If the heroine had been a male people would be raging about these actions. Her actions and sex drive were pretty much the whole story , which makes it low budget porn or erotica to me. I wanted a plot, but I got a sex story. I'm sorry I wasted so much time listening to this. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator was okay but sounded like a gum popping teenager in my mind. Juvenile.
