About this listen

Some of the scariest, strangest, and interesting cases of haunted houses, paranormal and supernatural places, and ghost stories in the world!

Do you know what lies behind every door? There are certain buildings which can be unsettling, disturbing, and downright terrifying. Even in seemingly normal homes, the strange and mysterious can help to create a sense of unease and ill-feeling. But there are certain buildings which scream strangeness from every surface. A coldness, an eerie atmosphere, or even the half caught sight of something moving in the corner of your vision. Some homes breathe paranormal activity and can leave you scared before you've even stepped over the threshold.

In this book, we will look at some of the world's most haunted homes, buildings, and places. They are scattered across the world, proving that the unexplained and the terrifying can cross borders and is not restricted to one particular location or culture. We will look at homes, hospitals, boats, and government buildings, all of which contain a history of dark acts. There's nothing to say what might cause a place to become haunted, but there are certain similarities that we can trace from location to location.

Murder, slaughter, torture, and all other forms of gruesome acts serve to leave an imprint. When you walk into these rooms, you can sense the evil deeds that took place. The hairs of on the back of your neck might prickle, the skin on your arms crawl, as you step onto the spot where someone was butchered hundreds of years ago. Often, these events are unexplainable. But in this book, we will attempt to gather the stories together and illustrate the reality of the world's most haunted places.

The narration seemed to have trouble the last few chapters of the book. There was a lot of stumbles and repeats although this is more poor editing than the fault of the narrator.

Poor audio editing....

Chapter 9 did not get edited at all. That should have been caught before release.

Need to edit Chapter 9

Liked the stories. Hadn’t heard most of the locations which is fun.
Love the narrators voice and delivery.
That said, whoever was the director/editor needs to do a better job. In the beginning chapters you could hear creaking of the chair and shuffling. Not too bad and I was able to tune it out.
One thing I couldn’t ignore was chapter 9. This wasn’t edited at all. The narrator has to reread several parts and even at one point mention how he might not get through it. Found it more funny than anything but it really should be edited.

Good stories but could use some more editing

I love the narrator's voice which added a lot to the stories. One thing I didn't like about the book was that it honestly felt like a brief general summary of places. I would've liked a more detailed description of paranormal events.

it was fun to listen too

I really wanted to give this book 5 starts. I enjoy the brief overview of all these locations. When chapter 9 started, there were several repeats. I figured out that this was an editing oversight which is totally understandable. However, the narrator clearly states that he's not sure he can go through with this anymore. He slurs some words which gives the sense that he may be drinking on the job. Again, completely understandable. But when his cell phone goes off in the background I was no longer able to keep focused. A book about spooky haunted locations turned into a comedy for me.

Amazing Lack of Editing
