I'm sorry I really tried to love this book as I am a huge fan of Miss Hawthorne however this one is a stinker. every scene felt like it was being set up and described by a first time game master playing dungeons & dragons and the transition from roll to the next especially with the female cast was very confusing as I could never tell who was actually doing the talking. I got halfway through the book and gave up. I'm sorry Mrs Hawthorne I'm going to go back and re-listen to horny monsters.

The book felt like 80% overly worded descriptions and 20% conversation and character development. After 13.5 hrs I still don’t know much about a single character. Disappointing.
