About this listen

Hidden inside of one of the country's most exclusive colleges is a secret school for witches. And he's about to rock their world.

Crashing into an icy river after being hit by a drunk driver nearly killed Edwin Sawyer—and unlocked his hidden magical potential. His new power saved the lives of himself and his friends, but also brought him to the attention of Washington DC's most powerful wizards.

Now, Edwin's a student at Blackwater University, an invisible academy of magic hidden inside the campus of one of DC's most exclusive institutions of higher learning. Thriving in his new college life involves learning to cast spells, taming fantastic creatures—and balancing the affections of some of the school's most eligible coeds.

But dark forces lurk just beneath Blackwater's cultured exterior. Edwin's sudden arrival has stirred up secrets the college would rather forget, and those who want them to remain buried will stop at nothing to acquire Edwin's unique magical gifts.

Getting to Blackwater almost killed him. Surviving his first semester is going to be a hell of a lot of fun.

Mc does way too much self-deprecation in the beginning, way too much skepticism of his obvious reality, and a lot of corny cringe worthy banter. Then calling the Headmaster by his name and asking in front of everyone about the gifts because he still can't grasp why someone would actually be nice to him is just too pitiful. Nobody wants to hear that poor poor me sob story over and over. Then not understanding that you actually have to pass to stay in school like every school in history of schools is just too much stupidity for me.

Meh mc
