About this listen

His huntress and his heart:

Larkin has spent almost a year hunting the monstrous kraken in the hope that they knew the whereabouts of her missing brother. Her efforts finally come to fruition when she and the other rangers capture three of the beasts—but the reality is nothing like the stories they’ve been told, and the kraken are not the monsters she expected. Dracchus awes her, captivates her, and makes her long for things she’d never dared dream. With tensions between their people escalating, can she jeopardize everything by trusting him? Is a taste of him worth her life?

Her warrior and her refuge:

Dracchus has risked himself countless times for the sake of his people, doing anything and everything to protect and provide for them. Between the vocal, anti-human kraken at home and the hunters prowling the seas, everything is falling apart around him. But when he meets Larkin, he allows himself hope—hope for a mate of his own, for a family of his own. She is his match, unlike any female he’s ever known. To have her, he’ll have to endanger her, along with all those he’s come to care for. After years of selflessness, how much is he willing to gamble to fulfill his own desires?

great progress

the progression of the overall story from the previous books leaves this one higher than those as the conflict that has been building up comes to the forefront in an intense way.

Utterly outstanding!!

The third book in the series is perhaps my favorite and this is for a few reasons. #1 Draccus is huge dominant and blunt to the extreme. He is noble, selfless, and lost over his mate. #2 This book touch’s on topics such a divided loyalties and communities caused my misunderstandings and fear which are the underlying issues in many areas of todays world and handles them bravely. #3 Eric Drummond does Draccus to perfection. My imagination had not even came close to the voice Eric gives him. If it was required I would have spent 5 credits for this audiobook. Even though I have the paperback and knew the story already, this audiobook made it feel new again. I hope everyone who is a fan of Tiffany Roberts will have the opportunity to own this audiobook. I know I will be relistening to this book many many times. #4 lastly for those who like some heat in their romance, you will not be disappointed. There is enough angst to build up intense tension between Larkan and Draccus which reaches its climax in a couple of scenes where the “release” of tension will leave you looking for a cold drink or a private place.
