Publisher's summary

Noah

I came to the Hellion Club to solve a murder, not to become some banker’s boy toy.

All my life, my omega status has been a pain my ass. Shaping what other people assume about me. Determining who I date, or who’ll date me. My own biology trying to tell me to slow down and have babies. Well screw that. Only I get to decide how I live my life, and I decided a long time ago I was going to be the best damn detective this city had ever seen.

And yet here I am anyway, pregnant in the middle of a murder investigation. The highest profile investigation of my career. The thing that could shoot me to the top. Instead I’m busy fending off my would-be alpha, the oh so posh and traditional Sebastian Banks, Hellfire Club elite. If he had his way, I’d spend the rest of my life either in bed or the kitchen. If my body had its way, it would happily let him.

It’s everything I’ve spent my whole life resisting. Now more than ever, I have to focus on what really matters to me. But I can’t help but wonder…is it really just simple biology that keeps pulling me back towards this man? Or is it something more?

Sebastian

I’ve always lived my life according to certain expectations, and in return life has met mine.

An omega cop who loudly asserts his independence at every opportunity falls nowhere within the boundaries of the expected.

And yet Noah Wells manages to be all the more irresistible for it.

I don’t understand it. Or him. I don’t know why he resists me or the attraction between us. More riddles to unravel, but I can be patient.

I can be anything he wants or needs me to be, if he’ll just give me the chance to show him. Funny, I thought I was supposed to be the alpha between us. Maybe there’s more to his modern ideas than I would have thought. Not that he needs to know that, of course…

Murder, mystery, and mpreg abound in this 50,000 word tale of opposites attracting. The sparks between these two can be explosive, so please be 18 years or older when following them into the bedroom!

Another Exciting Hellion's Club Mystery

Someone is killing random men and dressing them like Hellion employees and members. Although the murdered men are not affiliated with the Club, someone is trying to make it seem so.

Detective Noah Wells is searching for clues that will bring the murderer to light. Hellion club member Sebastian Banks is trying to protect the privacy of the elite members. Attempting to work together with such differing viewpoints is challenging. And, what's with that pigeon feather?

Fall into the mystery as narrator Daniel James Lewis leads the reader/listener through dead ends, quirky club members, false leads, and deadly scenarios.

Great end to the series

Noah, the omega cop goes to the Hellion Club to solve a murder. A banker alpha, Sebastian, learns how stubborn Noah can be resisting Sebastian's advances. As always with Aiden Bates' books I enjoyed the characters, story, and narrator (in this book).

I think I have a new favorite

I love this couple, everyone talks about Noah and I do love him but can we talk about Sebastian? I loved his journey and how he was able to finally see his faults and work to make adjust his way of thinking and really understand Noah and how his views were a bit skewed and not having shame in seeking out help and advice from his friends. Lewis does a good job narrating though a little more work in differentiating the characters would make it that much better. Overall a good listen and story.

great book

Noah is an Omega detective investigating a crime at the Hellion Club. When he meets Alpha Sebastian,There is instant attraction and the two begin a romance. Surprise pregnancy, secrets, a serial killer with a axe to grind with the Hellion Club...And two very different men trying to find a way to be together although their traditional instincts are forcing them apart. How will this Hellion love story get to the Happily ever after?
Well written and highly entertaining.... This book is like the rest of the Hellion Club series.... A recommended read!

Narrator Daniel James Lewis does an outstanding job. An easy listen to voice. Great job.

Very good!

I very much enjoyed this one! I had read a couple of books by Aiden Bates but had never heard this narrator...he brought these characters to life in a beautiful way! I plan to go back and read the rest of the books in this series!

Sexy Cop

Love how the cop fall for the banker. It shows how two people from different backgrounds can come together.

A decent story

Storyline: 3.5 🌟
Romance: 2 🌟
Narrator: 4 🌟

First things first: the story was pretty good. It was a decent suspense plotline, and kept this from being a DNF.

However, I felt no connection to the romance story at all. I liked Noah, the Omega. He was strong in his personal beliefs, and he stood up for himself. I did not like Sebastian at all. I think we are supposed to understand why he behaves like an elitist bigot, but I just had no sympathy for him whatsoever. I did not understand why the MCs kept trying to work things out; basically because I didn't see any romance between them.

The narrator did a good job with the material he had to work with. There were a few things that could have been caught during the editing process of the book, but the narrator did his job well.

What a compelling ending to a really good series

I am sorry to see this series end, even though I may have struggled with the 1st. book. Overall I found this series to be so very realistic, dramatic and solid. The characters were very believable and well developed. The story lines flowed and were consistent. If you get the opportunity to be able to sit down and spend a few hours listening to this series on Audible, I promise you will not be disappointed. However this series requires you to be attentive as this is a well written series with lots of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seats. Mr. Bates has never disappointed this reader/listener, he is one of only several Authors who are on my auto buy list! Their are a lot of people who write.... their are only a few people who I consider to be an "Author" and Mr. Bates is one of those people. An avid listener/reader in Rock Tavern, NY.

Cute Story, But Meh

Cute story, like the title says, but still only middling overall. I outright laughed during some of the descriptions in the sex scenes. And I'm more than a little annoyed at the ending where all their differences and contentions no longer seem to matter once Sebastian gets hurt, as if Noah's being a detective suddenly is fine and Sebastian's "traditional" values that he still believes in won't both Noah anymore. Oh no - Sebastian got hurt and now Noah simply *must* be with him against all beliefs. It even sounded like he gave up his beloved home. All tied up nearly with no explanations.
