Critic reviews

“In the latest Troy and Eva Winters thriller, the private investigators try to learn why a body with a stab wound has washed ashore near their inn. Along with a friend in law enforcement, the husband-and-wife PIs are soon following a trail of bodies and discover a killer with some highly personal reasons for seeking revenge. This gripping tale with a fine sense of place will have readers longing to visit the coast of Oregon.” (Angela M., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing)

Glued To This Book

A female serial killer is rare. This suspect stumps Troy and Eva Winters. Jane Smith was dealt a hard past being orphaned at birth. Her repressed anger affects her future. This is another wonderful book by this author. David Scott's talents make this novel entertaining and mesmerizing.

A scarred killer's agenda

Received as a audio copy to review from the narrator, this is an honest review. David Scott gives one fiery and bone-chilling performance as this story is so deeply harrowing you won't soon forget it. Jane Smith has truly never had anything of a normal life; a drunk driver stole her mother even before Jane was born, leaving her to grow up in foster care. Having endured being tormented by the many family Jane lived with; become her stalking grounds as the woman is determined to get back at these that treated her badly. Jane believes she's very clever, carefully plotting and executed each murder that she'll be able to finish her death list and vanish before anyone can find her. But when Jane turns her murderous plan upon Jasmine- Eva and Troy's hunt to catch this woman all the more precarious.

Highly recommended.

Well-written mystery

The fourth installation into this series was well-written and kept me intrigued. I detest when an author doesn’t provide brief looks into the previous book(s) in a series, since not everyone has been along from the beginning, and was quite pleased with the background provided. (After having just listened to a book that provided nearly zero back story, this is greatly appreciated!) The inn seemed like a lovely place I would enjoy visiting, and the scenery is described beautifully. This book demonstrated the sad plight many foster kids face, and sadly, not all of them are able to grow into well adjusted adults when faced with such early trauma.

quite good

I'm certain I'm in the minority, but I empathized with Jane for all the wrongs and abuses put upon her by people supposed to ensure her safety. This was sad and I was hoping for a positive outcome at the end, but I can live with Jane's victories. Very suspenseful and entertaining. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did a great job bringing it to life.

Thrilling Ride Through a Fabulous Plot!

When an innocent game of frisbee leads to a body, Eva and Troy find themselves on the trail of a serial killer. What they don’t know is how close that trail is to home! Tense, riveting and featuring an enthrallingly different protagonist, “Her Kill List” is a nonstop thrill ride through a magnificently drawn plot! The writing is genius! The way the characters “fit” together in the weave of this story had me in awe! No spoilers! Relax and enjoy knowing the flow is smooth, it ALL makes sense, and it is one heck of a great story! Also know that the narration bringing the author’s vision to life is spot on, emotive, animated and in a word, awesome! I truly enjoyed “Her Kill List”, and I can’t wait for the next book! Five star fantastic!

something a bit different

literally the worst narrator I've ever listened to, and I've got over 500 audiobooks, as well as all the one's I've got from the library. Everything was SO dramatic, and breathy, and interesting! Awful.
