Publisher's summary

Heretics of Dune, the fifth installment in Frank Herbert's classic sci-fi series.

On Arrakis, now called Rakis, known to legend as Dune, 10 times 10 centuries have passed. The planet is becoming desert again. The Lost Ones are returning home from the far reaches of space. The great sandworms are dying, and the Bene Gesserit and the Bene Tleilax struggle to direct the future of Dune. Okay dune book

This dune book has some really good character setup, and it seems to be preparing for some cool stuff in later books. the later part of the book got really cool, but was marred with cringy sex content. not sure what the author is getting at here, but that could have been left out.

A master storyteller continues his Dune saga

I found the whole story fascinating and riveting. The Narrator kept me engrossed in the story.

Best one yet!

Narration was superb! And the story was gripping. It was a little slow in some places, and rushed in others but overall, I really enjoyed this one.

dune universe! yes plz

if you want to want to explore more of Duncan's background? Then finish this series and start from the prequels in order. This universe is so good and deserves even more writing.

Fun but confusing

Frank’s deep dive into sex in this book was pretty strange not going to lie.

Also, the barrage of new characters as well the combination of new alliances and subsequent deceptions was very confusing.

Still, the storytelling was great and I just love listening to Frank’s style of writing. 4/5 for me.

Not the best, but still a solid Dune installment

The ending was much more quickly paced than the rest of the book. Still great!

Damn

Killed it again. I've into this three times straight, and find something new each time. The narration is out of this world. The whole series, classic.
