About this listen

Alice Mills wasn't looking for love, but during a girl's night out, she meets Jack Turner. Blindsided by his charm, personality, and smoldering good looks, she wonders, "Is he the one?" Their chemistry ignites a passion that connects them in every way. They realize theirs is a once in a lifetime kind of love.

Life hits hard and Alice and Jack are thrown a curveball, veering them off of their path to happily ever after. She wants to spend eternity with Jack, but with bad news lingering, she is tested to her limits and beyond. Alice discovers that every minute together is a priceless gift. Jack is the only man she has ever loved, and he's hers...for a while. And nothing can ever change that. Nothing.

What did you like best about this story?

I ordered this for my wife to enjoy, but I found it very moving, too. It absolutely makes you consider what others in your life mean to you, and I would say that our own relationship is closer than ever because of it.

Which character – as performed by John McBride – was your favorite?

I've enjoyed other audiobooks by this narrator in the past. John McBride does a great job bringing all the characters to life, both male and female. His past books made me feel confident that this one would be excellent, and I was not disappointed.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I would say that this audiobook is enjoyable over a number of listens. It will also linger in your mind after you've heard it.

A very touching, dramatic story.
