She's the ultimate temptation.
One that I can't touch yet one that I can't resist.
Her father was my best friend in the Navy SEALs.
He gave his life for mine.
And how do I repay him?
By lusting after his only daughter.
The last time I saw her she was a kid.
But she shows up on my doorstep in trouble and she's all grown up.
All grown up and irresistible.
But she's off-limits for an old grizzled mountain man like me.
I owe it to her father to keep my hands to myself.

So badly I can't think straight.
I'll let her hide out in my secluded mountain home.
I'll protect her from the bad men chasing her down.
But who is going to protect her from me and my dark desires?

Cute age gap romance

This was a cute age gap romance. It was a short fast paced story with a little action in it. Jack and Ruby had good chemistry and it made for a good story.

The narration was really good and I especially enjoyed the male narrator.

finding his light

For the audio part I really enjoyed the voices and they were very fitting for the characters. Also I read the story before I enjoyed very much listening to it. I love the audiobooks.
For the story part my past review:
After her father, who was a Navy seal, was killed while protecting his best friend Jake. Ruby’s mother commited suicide when she was 19. Ruby has been working since her fathers death when she was 16. Now she has nobody, lives in a dangerous place, but tries hard to take charge of her life. When she wittneses a murder, her life is in danger. The only person she can go to is her father’s best friend friend Jack. He has been drowning his feelings of guilt in alcohol and cage fights for the last few years. When Ruby stands in front of his door in the Greene Mountains, she is like an angel for him. He has a purpose and somebody to protect. The big trouble he wants her so badly, but he is his best friends daughter and off limits. Ruby has had a crush on him like forever. She does not care about the age difference. Will Jack put himself together and keep his babygirl save?
The rough and tough hero made me want to cry and laugh. When he makes avocado toast for Ruby, looking up what young people like. For me the little things often show so much. Well written story, it sucked me right in. Ott hero, rough on the outside, but with such a big heart and a strong woman, who knows what she wants, with a certain depth to it.

Jack and Ruby

Story: Ruby (h22) is in serious trouble and runs to the only person she can think of who’ll protect her, Jack (H53), the ex-Navy SEAL who served alongside her late father. When Ruby shows up, Jack realizes that he’s found a new meaning in his life, someone to fill the void he’d been trying to fill with alcohol, smoking, and cage-fighting. He struggles to fight his growing attraction for his best friend’s daughter, btu things heat up between the two and anyone who wants to come after Ruby better look out. Ultra-hot and steamy age gap, mountain man quickie with a side of danger and violence. Bring on that mountain man heat!

Audio: The narrators did a great job with this story. The audiobook uses two narrators, a male narrator and a female narrator – for me it makes such a difference to hear male dialogue with a male voice and female dialogue with a female voice. Patrick Zeller does an excellent job with the tone of voice he brings to Jack (a nice deep and growly voice) and other male voices, and Samantha Brentmoor a voice that seemed to capture her character.

Fantastic book!

Olivia is back with another fantastic book. I really enjoyed Jack and Ruby together. Jack tried to resist Ruby but he can only do it for so long. I enjoyed the connection and chemistry between these two as well as the honor that Jack has but also how he finally let’s his heart win. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to more from Olivia soon! Patrick Zeller and Samantha Brentmoor did a wonderful job bringing Ruby and Jack to life. I can't wait wait to hear more from these two.

Action-Packed Sexy Deliciousness!

Hiding Out in the Mountains is action-packed, sexy, steamy deliciousness! Jack is a brooding, lost, lonely warrior of old, looking for a sense of purpose to continue on. When his deceased best friend’s daughter shows up in danger, sparks fly off the page in true OTT style. The backstory of these two is built beautifully while danger lurks and chemistry boils over. The passion between these two is intense and well-written, and the narrators do a phenomenal job of bringing this story to audio life. Loved it, and will definitely listen again and again.

Steamy Listen

I've read every book in this series, but listening to the audiobook takes it to a new level. I'm always on the fence about dual narration, but it works really well in this book, giving a new depth to the characters. Both MCs are starting the book struggling with trauma, but they are able to come together to find healing. I will definitely look to listen to more books in this series and from these narrators as the spice is A LOT.

Jack’s Voice is Hot

Samantha was amazing as always and it was good to discover a new male narrator I really liked. Quick and fast paced. Totally enjoyed the story.

Ruby and Jack

Ruby had been dealt a rough hand with her father's death during a Seal's operation and then her mother's suicide; so, she had been on her own since she was 16. No one had her back for the last 6 years. Now she works 2 jobs and was trying to do better with starting her online custom sticker business. She had just witnessed a murder by a drug dealer. and they wanted her dead!
Jack had been Ruby's dad best friend, but he hadn't seen Ruby since her dad's funeral and didn't know about her mom's suicide. He lived in Montana's Green Mountains. He was drinking and smoking heavily. He is wondering why he lived while his best friend with a family died rescuing him, yet he lived.
Ruby thought running away and remembered Jack. She only had a Christmas card from 3 years ago. Would she make it to Jack's?
I purchased the digital copy last summer and loved it, but I had never used the audiobook version. Decided to try it and it is really great in hearing the story plus I get the freedom to do things around the house instead of watching TV.
