About this listen

Sometimes the things that keep us safe hold us captive. Avery Tanglewood has had enough of rearranging her life for the sake of others. After years of prioritizing her family over herself, she's ready to strike out on her own, even if she's not sure what she wants to do with her life. If only she was brave enough to face the backlash the truth will bring.

He's a prisoner of the past. For hundreds of years, Xavier has used his dragon magic to protect his Highland clan inside a pocket of space called the builgean. Thanks to his unique magical abilities, generations have enjoyed peace and prosperity while cut off from the modern world. But when a fairy trickster captures him and claims his throne, his refuge becomes his prison.

Can they free each other from the chains that bind? Avery agrees to journey into the builgean to persuade Xavier to help with the crisis in Paragon, but she finds a mysterious stranger in his place - a problematic complication, considering she can't leave the pocket without Xavier's assistance. Worse, although she frees the captured dragon, he refuses to comply without winning back his land and his clan first. And the longer Avery spends in Xavier's world, the harder it is to remember why she should return to her own.

Wow! Such a great story by Genevieve that was narrated by Holly Adams! She, for sure, is one of my favorite of the narrators that bring this series to life. It's awesome that Avery gets to find her true self and the character is so strong! I'm so happy to have found this series! I can't wait to listen to the next book!

The saga keeps growing and the story of each dragon keeps me wanting more. Ms Jack is a phenomenal storyteller, although it takes longer to be an audiobook, this saga is worth it. I'm glad Avery Tanglewood gets to shine!

Wow - out of the series the best one yet!

What a perfect combination! A dragon shape changer who is a gorgeous kilt wearing Scot! Then there is the lady with the abilities to catch his full attention. Great love story wrapped in and around the continuing story of the dragon siblings battling to survive their mother's wrath. That woman is just awful!! Just keep remembering those long legs, broad shoulders, etc. oh my, yes!

Shape Changer Dragon is a Kilted Scott! Wow!

I don't know what it is about a Scottish man but YES. So good. This book might be my favorite in the series. Looking forward to the next one!

This is the most contrived plot of any of the books so far. There are way too many lucky coincidences; they are on the level one might expect in a children's story.

It seems the author is too busy rushing to the end of the series to feel the need to write a book that can stand on its own. I have enjoyed the books up to this point. As if to reinforce my points, there is a 4 minute Epilogue to lead the listener to the next book.

The more characters and mythical creatures added, the more short changed they all are. I prefer quality over quantity. Either the author has a very dull sex life to call upon or she is stuck in some CODE about how it must be written.

Very disappointing
