About this listen

A heartbreaking loss...

Susannah Braddock’s worst nightmare has come true: her husband, Riley, has been killed in WWI. Devastated, she turns to her hired hand Tanner Grenfell for support. As Susannah’s grief ebbs, her friendship with Tanner deepens into love. But their newfound happiness is short lived….

A stranger returns....

Riley Braddock cannot remember his life before the war. All he knows are the two years he has spent with Véronique, the French woman who rescued him from the battlefield and nursed him back to health. When Riley returns to the Braddock farm, both he and Susannah know he’s a different man. Torn between her love for Tanner and her loyalty to Riley, Susannah must make an impossible choice: the only love she’s known…or a future she’s always dreamed of.

sequel to home before morning

I didn't love the narrator, voice is somewhat mundane but since I had made it through the first one after much struggling I had to listen to the second one, a sweet story of sadness and hardship, interesting characters that kept my attention. granny may turned out to be a far more affable person than I had expected and the sheriff finally got his woman emaline. I'm glad too that Riley returned to France to claim veronique and his baby. I enjoyed both books and am interested to see what amy gets up to.

Wonderful!

This was a heartfelt story. Well written and greatly narrated. It's written in way fashion that one can related to real life experience. A beautiful love story that is emotional and hear gripping. I laughed and I cried.
