Publisher's summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

The eighteenth Cliffehaven Novel by Sunday Times bestselling author Ellie Dean.

Peace has finally been declared in the Far East, but for those living at Beach View Boarding House, the news brings mixed emotions.

Peggy Reilly is devastated that her husband Jim will not be coming home for Christmas. And Sarah and Jane, who have lived at Beach View throughout much of the conflict, dread what they will find when they go back to Singapore.

Life in Cliffehaven is in a whirlwind of change as the men return from the war and Peggy’s evacuee chicks begin to spread their wings and start new lives in different corners of the world.

Peggy and Jim have longed to be together after so many years apart, but war has left them profoundly changed. Can they rekindle the loving, close relationship they’d shared before?

Sad to see them all go...

The series has been lots of fun to listen to. I've loved these characters with all their quirks and grit, and feel like Peggy is just a postcard away. The end was a satisfying "all's well" conclusion.
I know some other reviewer wrote that the audio book stopped before Jim came home, but this Audible book version was complete.

Ending series , wish there was more!!

Loved the Cliffehaven series by Ellie Dean. This is the final one, and much awaited. Great story, ties up many loose ends. However, the audio differs from the book as the last chapters of the book aren't on the audio. The book has 512 pages(story has 489 pages), but the audio doesn't include the last "part" of the book. The audio stops at page 458 of the book. This is very disappointing as the last chapters(28-29 & 30) are important. A BIG let down to those of us who are avid fans

More please!

The conclusion of the series was well done! More than a series of people and their lives, which was great , but history that led me to learn more of that horrendous yet much important time period. May we never forget !

A truly memorable series

I will miss every character I met and grew to love in this wonderful series! Beside the wonderful stories and fantastic character development, the history included made this series a real experience.

Very disappointed

after reading this entire series I was so looking forward to this 19th book I really enjoyed it the end was enough to spoil the entire series for me.Not to put Peggy and Jim back together was for me so sad and disappointing I'm actually surprised at how sad it made me
