A WOMAN’S WORLD BEST NEW BOOK

"Heart-breaking, validating, exciting." (Hypable)

"Rich historical detail...this saga has it all." (Woman's World)

Shining a light on a little-known piece of history The Flight Girls is a sweeping portrayal of women's fearlessness, love, and the power of friendship to make us soar.

1941. Audrey Coltrane has always wanted to fly. It's why she implored her father to teach her at the little airfield back home in Texas. It’s why she signed up to train military pilots in Hawaii when the war in Europe began. And it’s why she insists she is not interested in any dream-derailing romantic involvements, even with the disarming Lieutenant James Hart, who fast becomes a friend as treasured as the women with whom she flies. Then one fateful day, she gets caught in the air over Pearl Harbor just as the bombs begin to fall, and suddenly, nowhere feels safe.

To make everything she’s lost count for something, Audrey joins the Women Airforce Service Pilots program. The bonds she forms with her fellow pilots reignite a spark of hope in the face war, and - when James goes missing in action - give Audrey the strength to cross the front lines and fight not only for her country, but for the love she holds so dear.

"Captivated me from the first page and never let go...a powerful tale of courage and sacrifice by the Women Airforce Service Pilots during WWII. A spectacular first novel." (Sara Ackerman, USA TODAY best-selling author of The Lieutenant's Nurse)

I have listened to over 80 books in the last 18-24 months. Every single one has been some sort of business book. Entrepreneurial, sales, leadership, etc. I'm not a novel girl. Something about them had always seemed like a waste of time. But this book changed my mind. I got lost in it and didn't want to stop listening. Found myself actually getting irritated with every interruption! Loved it! Can't wait for another book by Noelle... No pressure! Lol

Gives romantic novels a good name!!

Rich historical story full of love, and heartache. Very powerful story about women. A story about their lives, their strength, their friendships, and their losses. It shows their bravery, strength, and intelligence, as well as their desire to support their country during war any way they could. These women contributed and had dreams they were willing to make come true. You become a part of them as they enjoy each other and support one another through heartbreak and sorrow. Yes, there were a few minor inaccuracies but all together it didn’t make the book any less of a great read.

Captivatingly Beautiful WWII Drama

I loved this story about the WASP pilots during WWII. The narrator was great. The book tells a great story of love, pain, loss, and hardship that comes with war. It really touched my heart and even made me tear up a few times.

I loved this book and hated when I had pause it. The story was slightly predictable but nevertheless with enough surprises to be entertaining and very heartwarming. It made me want to meet the characters and hug them.

I once met a lady who had been a part of the WASP’s. I don’t remember if she said she was in the last class or if she was of the next class when they were disbanded. She was a fascinating South Texas lady. Remembering Margaret Jones.

Great story!
