Publisher's summary

For PR guru-turned-advice-columnist Waverly Bryson, life is pretty sweet. She has an amazing job, a devoted boyfriend, and the best friends a girl could hope for. Things couldn’t possibly be better - or so she thinks - until she receives an offer to turn her popular advice column into a regular guest spot on national television. The new gig means moving cross-country to New York to work for a woman who can’t stand her, not to mention leaving her best friends, Andie and McKenna, behind while still missing her already-too-long-distance boyfriend, Jake.

But Waverly wouldn’t be Waverly if she didn’t tackle these challenges head on, with all the zeal, good humor, and, yes, occasional catastrophe that devoted fans have come to expect from “the American Bridget Jones”. Witty, lighthearted, and fun, Honey on Your Mind is Waverly Bryson at her irrepressible best!

Good Series

This is my first books by this author. I will look for more and I always enjoy Julia Whelan. The narrator can make or break a book. She does a great job of making it enjoyable.

Waverly is my hero.

She makes me smile and cry sometimes with her wit and thought process. Something I struggle with too. Live, love, laugh!

Love these books! I hope there will be another!!

What made the experience of listening to Honey on Your Mind the most enjoyable?

I enjoy the characters, can't wait to see what is happening next. Once I really get into listening I don't want to quit!

Which scene was your favorite?

Too many to name just one, there were times I was in tears and then in stitches of laughter could she at times remind me of myself and my years as a single woman trying to find my way in the world?? I don't know...and the sweet relationship she has with her dad really works my heart strings.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES!

Any additional comments?

I just hope this is not the end to Waverly, I enjoy her character too much. Not sure how much further she can take her but I do hope it's a little bit more!

What did you love best about Honey on Your Mind?

Took the series to the next level. New York scenery and the chaos of Waverly managing two dream outcomes for her "Honey Notes".

Who was your favorite character and why?

Paige is a fun character. Her interactions with Waverly as a partner in the new business was humorous, plus it was nice that this book added more "points of view" from the supporting characters.

Bless her heart

Ms. Waverly Bryson, everyone’s favorite self sabotaging female stereotype, is still our heroine, and this time is not only battling herself, but now she is rivaling TV show host, Wendy. Wendy is a southern bell and, bless her heart, has a vendetta against Waverly. Waverly works through the ongoing battle with Wendy, her relationship with Jake, and moving away from home to live in NYC. Even though she left San Francisco, she hasn’t lost touch with her old friends, and even makes some new ones.

I think as I work through this series, the narration really wears on me, and I have to listen to the book in shorter intervals, but I’ve made it this far, so I might as well finish the series!

As I’ve said before, I like something that is a bit mindless (lacks depth in plot) and it’s perfect for when I need a break from some of the other books I listen to.
