About this listen
AN ALL-NEW UNABRIDGED RECORDING NARRATED BY LORELEI KING!
Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum and Trenton vice cop Joe Morelli join forces to track down a madman killer in this thrilling novel from Janet Evanovich, the “most popular mystery writer alive” (The New York Times).
When Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, is caught on video just minutes before the youngest son of international black-market arms dealer Alexander Ramos is shot and killed, he’s instantly identified as suspect number one. He’s at the scene, he’s with the victim, and he’s former special forces turned soldier of fortune. He has a blue-chip stock portfolio and no known address. He moves in mysterious circles. He’s Stephanie’s mentor—the man who taught her everything she knows about fugitive apprehension. And he's more than her friend.
Now he’s the hunted and Stephanie’s the hunter, and it’s time for her to test her skills against the master. But if she does catch him...what then? Can she bring herself to turn him in?
Plus there are other things keeping Stephanie awake at night. Her maternal grandmother has set up housekeeping in Stephanie’s apartment, a homicidal maniac has selected Stephanie as his next victim, her love life is in the toilet, she’s adopted a dog with an eating disorder, and she can’t button the top snap on her Levi’s.

Story
Lucas knows the perfect night entails just three things: video games, wine, and pad thai. Peanuts are a must! Other people? Not so much. Why complicate things when he’s happy alone? Then one day the apartment board, a vexing trio of authority, rings his doorbell. And Lucas’s solitude takes a startling hike. They demand to see his frying pan. Someone left one next to the recycling room overnight, and instead of removing the errant object, as Lucas suggests, they insist on finding the guilty party. But their plan backfires. Colossally.

Story
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Story
We all have things in our life that we should know by now, but don’t. Absences in our knowledge and skillset that are frankly shameful in an adult. Things that would be too embarrassing to ask anyone to explain – except our very best friend. Listen in as Mel and Sue tackle their ignorance head on, asking each other to explain something that they still don’t know - but absolutely, as adults, should - from how to parallel park to fully understanding bread (why has it got all those holes in it? What, honestly, is yeast?).

Story
A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

Lorelei King - Finally!
I’ve been waiting years, for the only narrator worth listening to, for the first seven Stephanie Plum books. It’s been a long frustrating wait, but, finally, almost over. Hopefully. There’s no sign, yet, of Four to Score being done by Lorelei King, but my fingers are crossed for it to show up soon, so I can buy it and complete the series. I tried listening to other narrators, but they were far inferior, and far too irritating, to do the series justice. I read all the books many times, until my eyes became too light sensitive and I had to switch to audiobooks. I’ve had to only listen to the books after 7, until now. I’d almost given up hope of hearing the beginnings of Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter. Thank you!

Another great story!
Evanovich does it again. Loved the twists and turns. Interesting give and take with Ranger and Morelli. The big drawback fir me was gathering narrator. Her portrayal of Gramma and Lula was ,to me, subpar. Her voice went up and down was noticeably squeaky. That really reduced my enjoyment of this otherwise entertaining work.
