Entertaining but Seriously Educational

From the get go I was hooked by the information in this book. It was a refreshing experience to hear such an in-depth, inspirational and emotional text coming from a man. The material is beautifully crafted and the narrator delivered it well.

I see this book as a tribute to mothers and a gift to kids. I particularly enjoyed the chapter on celebrating your kids. Too often dads ignore this very important act as they immerse themselves in their professional exploits in their endeavour to provide for their family. The book presents a balanced perspective to parenting, especially through the eyes of a dad who leads by example. I think that every father, present and future should have a copy of this book.

great advice

How to Talk to Anyone gives great advice on communications. I wish that I had this resource 40 years ago before my kids were born. We learn a lot of facts in school, but never really to communication and listen effectively. Dads have such a key role in the development of their kids, which this audiobook emphasizes. I have seen many dads over the decades who really need to adopt and put these techniques into practice. There are many relevant tips to help with communication, and the author wisely reminds dads to keep the mom as a high priority, remain calm and resilient when things are tough, and to appropriately encourage, praise and help your kids. I recommend this as a valuable resource for dads.

Perfect for Fathers to connect with their kids

My husband and I both listened to this audiobook and found it full of great information on how to connect and communicate with our kids. My husband really appreciated that it was written from a father's perspective. We always strive to find positive ways to encourage our kids, but we began to struggle as our kiddos are growing up and their needs for interaction have grown. We learned that while we might be saying the right things, our kids pick up on non-verbal cues that we were not aware of. After busy days of my husband working and me feeling flustered at taking care of 2 little ones at home, we were letting little bits of frustration boil over when our two oldest returned home from school. My husband has started having long, wonderful talks at night with our older kiddos about their day and his day after story time, our kids have really been enjoying the attention and communication. Overall, Highly recommend to anyone with kids or around kids.

Wealth of practical tools for parents

One of the audiobook's strengths is its emphasis on building stronger connections. Wolfe recognizes the importance of not just talking to kids but truly understanding and connecting with them. The guidance provided goes beyond words, incorporating body language, tone, and active listening to create meaningful and lasting connections. I like the parallel between you being your kid's biggest fan like you are for sports teams. I think men will relate to that comparison.
