About this listen

Love blooms once more in the quaint town of Mystic Creek, Oregon, from the New York Times best-selling author of Strawberry Hill.

Erin De Laney came to Mystic Creek hoping that the slower pace might rekindle her enthusiasm for law enforcement. Instead she feels as frustrated as she did in the city and when her disillusionment with the job increases, she takes a position on her uncle's ranch.

Her life has enough complications without her attraction to handsome, deaf cowboy, Wyatt Fitzgerald, the foreman on the ranch. Wyatt has sworn off dating, and Erin fears that nothing she does will ever change his mind. Yet while working with an abused horse under Wyatt's guidance, Erin comes to better understand herself. She also learns that love can heal almost anything.

Wyatt yearns to take Erin into his arms, but he's hesitant to pursue a romantic relationship. When their work sends them out alone together into a wilderness area, Wyatt is even more determined to hold Erin at arm's length.

But out of their time alone together on the mountain blossoms a chance for a once-in-a-lifetime love if only he's willing to give her his heart and make her his.

Loved the story. The narrator was good. I’m glad I ignored those who criticized her.

Great series addition.

10 stars for Susan Bennett's narration. I loved Blackie & Julie's story. Loved Wyatt & the opportunity to learn more about the struggle & history surrounding his disability. I did not care for Erin's character. She seemed annoying, arrogant & whiney. But overall, not bad. Again, Susan Bennett, bravo!!!

Unexpected

I enjoyed this entire series!!! I hope there will be additional books! I’m excited to see what happens with Blackie and Erin and Ginger and 4 Toe.

Great series

Story was overall good but the narrator’s lack of ability to ensure characters had their own voice threw me off. Sometimes it worked and other times I couldn’t tell who was talking.

Could not tell one character from another

This latest addition the the Mystic Creek series was one of the best! She included so much love, laughter and heart break you didn't know what was coming next!

Catherine Has Done it Again !!

Story was excellent. But in the previous audiobook the deaf Wyatt spoke more slowly making it more believable and him more endearing since he worked so hard to read lips. I was very disappointed there really was no difference between him and the other male characters except for Tex and was a slower cadence with the pawn shop owner. Consistently would have made it perfect.

So sorry to see this series end! It's been a long time since I enjoyed stories like these. This somewhat reminds me of the Virgin River series but without that copycat feeling. Just a great series all on it's own. And I love long stories so this one fits my taste. Catherine Anderson moves to the very top of my "Favorite Author List". Susan Bennett also did a good job of narration BUT...authors should NEVER change narrators in the middle of a series (unless the narrator is bad to start with). Kate Turnbull was the voice of all the characters throughout the series and should not have been replaced in this last book. Just my opinion!

NEVER A DULL MOMENT
