Story
There are places on earth that carry an air of the ethereal—an aura of malevolence that can only be felt in the breathless whisper of a passing breeze. One of these places is found along the rugged mystical coastline of Maine’s northern shores—Juneberg. Since its inception the morbid mishaps of the city were carried on the murmurs of sailors and visitors who have seen the peculiarities up close. From people vanishing in the dead of night, as though they had been carried out to sea.

As a single mom, Samantha can't afford to pass up a financial windfall like oceanfront property. So she travels home to fix up the house and sell it...never suspecting that Landon Reed still lives two doors down. As their long-dormant romance begins to bud again, Samantha must face a past that separated her from the God of her childhood. And she must tell Landon why she fled the island in the first place - a secret that could tear them apart.

Outstanding collection!
Marsella knows how to write, simple as that. He has incredible prose and that is on full display in this collection of awesome stories. I truly enjoyed each one of them and would say there’s something for all horror fans in this book! Rain Corbyn also does an amazing job with the narration, fully pulling the listener in with great character work. I highly recommend this book, and I think it’s safe to say that Marsella will be mentioned more and more in the world of horror.

Death in Many Forms
As with all short story collections, there are some that are OK, some that are pretty good, and some that are memorable. The author has written an entertaining collection of death-related tales.
The stories range from a post-apocalyptic tale of a pregnant mother doing everything she can to save her unborn son to a man obsessed with puzzles who gets more than he bargained for in his latest endeavor. The stories deal with suicide, sexual abuse, and violence, but never cross the line into gore and gruesomeness.
The narrator did a pretty good job with his performance but I found my attention wavering at times. All in all, if you enjoy short stories in the horror genre, give this one a try. I will definitely be looking for more books by this new to me author.

A Home Run 🏃♀️ Hey Batter Batter
Thank You Joshua Marsella for gifting me a promo code.
The Collection of short stories is masterfully written. It takes on a range of subgenres The first story is about Aliens Encountered, there are a few Christmas Horror short stories, Unholy Communion has Satanic vibes, and the book ends with Sacrifice an Apocalyptic Journey.
I have noticed Joshua Marsella grow as a writer. I read both Scratches and it's companion novel Severed. I loved Scratches.
This author's characters are well developed and the Stories all show that he writes with his heart and companion. I loved all of the stories in this book. Two of them I have a guilt complex because I did enjoy the stories. Room full of Toys has a very great Twist.
The Narrator did a decent job for the most part some voice changes did not seem natural to me.

Death Comes in Many Forms
Hunger For Death by Joshua Marsella is a unique set of horror short stories, all surrounding death. I enjoyed pretty much all of the stories involved, which I feel is rare, because most short story collections typically have a few I just never get invested in. Rather than elaborating on what they contain, I’ll just list a few of my favorites:
-Mean Old Mr Amesbury
-To Feast With Orphans
-A Room Full of Toys
I will say, this experience taught me that I do not like short stories via audiobook. I much prefer to read them myself, as the narrator changes so much for each story. The narrator here didn’t do a bad job at all, I just needed variety as I went. All in all, a collection I think you’ll enjoy!

Great collection
I really enjoyed this collection of short stories. The tales varied from gore, supernatural, mystery, horror, suspense, and even some touching emotional ones. It was a great assortment. My first read from the author but definitely will not be my last.
