About this listen

I must be brave.

I must do what has to be done.

I am Alice.

Alice is the most powerful witch the county has ever seen. She may one day be the most evil. But Alice is also the best friend - and true love - of Tom Ward. Together they work to defeat the Fiend - the world's greatest evil - once and for all.

They have nearly everything they need, all except a blade hidden in the Dark, the Fiend's domain. So Alice ventures there to find it. She faces the most terrifying creatures in existence. And she once again battles old enemies who bear grudges: Bony Lizzie, Bloodeye, and more.

And there's something Tom didn't tell her. To vanquish the Fiend, Tom must sacrifice the person he loves most. Alice is hunting for the very blade that will eventually kill her.

What did you like best about I Am Alice? What did you like least?

Continuing the series from Alice's point of view was brilliant, giving her character more depth and letting us see the struggle within herself between light and dark.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Finding allies in the dark. And the alternative given at the end is a terrifying prospect. But seriously, what's up with Pan?

How could the performance have been better?

Get rid of Angela Goethals completely. If the rest of the books in the series have her as a narrator, I'm not spending another penny on the books. She reads in a strained monotone, like she's slightly strung out and sustains it the entire time. Christopher Evan Welch brings age, despair, happiness, joy, caution, passion, wryness, discipline, joviality, etc, in his reading of the series. This narrator needs to lay off the valium.

Did I Am Alice inspire you to do anything?

Return the book, entirely because of the awful narrator.

Narrator on Valium

As a writer of fantasy action adventure and horror, I enjoyed this story immensely! The story and characters are sublime!

Amazing!

How could the performance have been better?

If she characterized everyone like she did Bony Lizzie, the performance would be so much better.

Any additional comments?

Please bring back Christopher Evan Welch for the last book.

If you listen at 1.25x, it sounds normal

Great but sad not because of death but for consequences. Pray for salvation for Alice.

Great but sad

no a fan of the female Vocals. preferred the solo male narrator reader. i also did not like the bouncing around of the male and female speakers. the 1 male reader who would change his voice was great.

I Am Alice sounded great and immersed me enjoyably along its scary quest. Glad to have it so available on Audible cause it's a angel at work and home. Great Story, want more and CAN have it😁

I am well pleased

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would recommend it as it is a wonderful telling of Alice's life....just sad that she doesn't get to tell the story in her own voice - the one I came to know and like.

Missing Welch's Narration

Ok so no offense but the narrator doesn't give any emotion to the characters

Boring Narrator

I like the story. Wonderfully put together, but Angela gets a bit monotone at times. I had to shake myself awake a bit listening to her...

Great story!

If I could give the narrator no stars I would she was very slow monotone didn't sound like she was actually enjoying doing the story. I've listened to over 200 books and this is the first time that I have ever put anything in remarks besides the ratings. she was a real disappointment.

performance was poor, poor, and poor...
