About this listen

A night in Vegas is all fun and games until you wake up with a ring on your finger and no clue who put it there.

Jacob Conner was never planning to get married, and he's certain that sentiment didn't change even when he was completely black out drunk on the Vegas strip. Which is also why he has no problem ignoring the elephant in the room and heading back to work at the front desk of a San Francisco luxury hotel.

So when the hotel holds a big conference for its shareholders and Jacob's otherwise cold and aloof boss, Aaron Craig: billionaire and heir to the Craig Hotel Empire, starts taking a special interest in him, he has no idea what he did to be hand picked as the glorified babysitter for his equally important and pompous older brother, Trevor Craig, who just flew in for the week from... Las Vegas.

This is going to be a very, very long week.

I Do (NOT) is an accidental marriage contemporary romantic comedy, featuring three points of view in a billionaire tug-o-war over a sarcastic and unsuspecting desk clerk. You can expect enemies to lovers banter, boss/employee scandal, a lopsided love triangle, crossed boundaries, and a couple slices of humble pie in this gay office romance.

Formerly released under Ninestar Press, the story has been rewritten from the ground up with added content and expanded dialogue and chapters.

Bit of a weird dynamic and not one that will stay with me now that I’m down, but not bad. But the narration was good.

It wasn’t bad. But not a fave

I really enjoyed this book when I read it, but I was a little worried about how the three POV perspectives would translate with one narrator. I had nothing to worry about. The three characters were easily distinguishable, and I found myself pulled in even more by the audio than when I read the story initially.

Engaging story with three POVs

this book was not what I expected. all three mmc's were very well written and the story kept a good pace it is a very slow burn but worth the wait in the end.

Honestly, not sure how I’m feeling about the entirety of this story!! It was entertaining, but completely unbelievable. Decent narration.

I really enjoyed this story. It's a unique take on the got-drunk-in-Vegas-and-ended-up-married trope. I adored Jake and his clumsy bumbling through life. I was on pins on needles waiting to see what choice he would make. Of course, I had my ideas of what I thought would be best for him, but I waivered back and forth. Both Aaron and Trevor seemed to love Jake, and they both certainly wanted and needed him. I felt for all three men, but as the story wound down it became clear what would be best for JAKE. I'm glad that's the way it turned out. I love that Anni is so great at making you want everyone to win. even when you're not sure they can. Somehow it always works out the best for everyone.😉.

The narration was good, and provided distinct voices and personalities for the characters.

I really wanted to like this. I love accidental marriage stories and you really don't see a lot of love triangles in MM! The beginning kinda had a retelling of Sabrina vibes which was cute, but it veered off pretty quick 😭.

The story felt....dated. Like a 90s M/F romance that was repurposed (the fact they only use spit and precome as lube in the 1 rushed sex scene doesn't help). The boss was problematic! He knew it was Jake when they drunkingly met up in Vegas and knew Jake didn't know it was him, and he knew Jake didn't know it was him because he was beyond drunk, yet he still opted to sleep with him?! That gives me the ick! That's not consent.
The reason the brothers don't get along is because Aaron's ex raped Trevor and that's just a little throw away story?! ick ick
We never get Aaron's reaction to Jacob picking Trevor and why did he pick Trevor anyways?! it felt so rushed at the end just all okay this brother is gonna give me more so I'll pick him. I didn't feel the romance, he just picked the logical choice? I don't know why he ever even liked Aaron let alone love him, he was a douche canoe the entire book.

idk it wasn't completely bad. I enjoyed parts, but I just don't think it's the best for modern audiences who are more discerning about consent.

the narrator was new to me but he did a good job and I'd listen to something else by him.

low steam, low angst, love triangle, accidental marriage

I Do (Not) is the story of Jacob, Aaron Craig, and Trevor Craig. This story starts with an accidental marriage which leads to some interesting things. I enjoyed the love triangle between Jacob and the Craig brothers. There was plenty of drama and chaos in the story. Anni Lee is an amazing author and I look forward her next book. If you get the audio narration, Brian Cheney, does a wonderful job of narrating this series. He makes the change in characters seamlessly. I can't wait to listen to more books done by him.

I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters- though Trevor had to grow on me a bit because there was a scene I didn't like with him. I liked Jake's personality- though he could be a bit of a mess. I don't know how he didn't check to see who he married after a drunken night in Vegas. I would have at least peeked! So the mystery of who he married kept me curious. And his relationships/dynamic with both his boss Aaron and brother Trevor kept me invested. I originally liked Aaron more, but Trevor grew on me and with that love triangle- who would Jake choose? Who had he married? And what role would Mr. Craig- their father- affect Jake's relationship with either man? By the end, I was happy with the choice he made- though I did initially want it to go the other way. But I think this choice was the best one all around for all. I also loved Jake's friend, Liz- who was very supportive and insightful. I also loved Anni Lee's After Talk, and as an asexual woman myself, I felt I really connected with her there.

Brian Cheney did a good job with his narration. I liked his voice and emotion for Jake best. Aaron's more serious and deadpan suited his personality. I initially didn't much care for Trevor's. It's hard to describe- it wasn't nasally- but there was something about it that I didn't like. I might prefer reading this book over listening to it.

I loved this audiobook. This is the first time I've read/listened to an Anni Lee book that was upbeat and not dark. I love her dark stuff (huge fan here) but I loved this contemporary story as well.

I found this on Booksprout and had to have it since I'm a fan of Anni Lee.

What a cute storyline. After a drunken wedding in Vegas Jacob ran out, the morning after, before discovering who he married. Jacob/Jake is a bit of a mess, which brought such fun to the story.

I loved the 3 POVs and the narrator, Brian Cheney, did a fantastic job with the voices. I always knew who was talking, which sometimes is not so easy with other narrators.

Love triangle, Boss/employee, billionaire/average Joe, in the closet/out of the closet, meddling father, brothers from another mother

I'm rounded this up from 3.5 when I first read it. It took me some time to get into. Once I got a few chapters in, things got more interesting for me. This was still a bit slow for me at the start but listening to the audiobook had me enjoying the story a bit more.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Good Story
