About this listen

A New York Times bestseller!

From the author of The Sky Blues and Blaine for the Win comes a speculative young adult romance about a teen stuck in a time loop that’s endlessly monotonous until he meets the boy of his dreams.

For some reason, Clark has woken up and relived the same monotonous Monday 309 times. Until Day 310 turns out to be…different. Suddenly, his usual torturous math class is interrupted by an anomaly—a boy he’s never seen before in all his previous Mondays.

When shy, reserved Clark decides to throw caution to the wind and join effusive and effervescent Beau on a series of “errands” across the Windy City, he never imagines that anything will really change, because nothing has in such a long time. And he definitely doesn’t expect to fall this hard or this fast for someone in just one day.

There’s just one problem: how do you build a future with someone if you can never get to tomorrow?

Great premise and unfolding of the story. Fun and kept me guessing. Now I wonder how many people are in a time loop.

Great premise

What a fantastically written book! I love time travel/time loop stories. This one is all about the mystery and twist and turns. Great narrator as well who acts with a subtleties and depth. The character voices are distinctive but not distracting. 10/10 all the way.

Great Story That Happens to Have Gay Characters

There is nothing like a story that sweeps you away and leaves you breathless. I love these characters. Clark is a narrator I could adventure with indefinitely, and Emory… I love that boy! 10/10 would recommend.

Loved it!

Bravo Robbie Couch! Pretty obviously inspired by Bill Murray's classic "Groundhog Day" -- the title is even worked into one scene -- the entrancing writing, relatable protagonist and tour de force performance make this unlikely premise seem not only plausible, but compelling. While the main character is trapped in his time loop, the sequences never seem repetitive and in fact enhance the suspense by carefully sharing information that will lead to a denouement as thrilling and satisfying as Couch's conclusion in The Sky Blues. One Quibble: we would have loved to have seen much more of Beau DuPont! Maybe in a sequel starring Beau?

Lightning paced, riveting time loop story
