About this listen

Despite being branded as an outcast amongst outcasts, Phelan Oliver devotes his life to helping his fellow Necromancers. But even with his vast knowledge, nothing prepares him for the day he comes face to face with a demon he didn’t summon—one who embodies everything he has been taught to hate, whose wickedness sparks sinful feelings Phelan can’t ignore no matter how much he tries.

Taken captive by a prince of Hell, Phelan strikes a desperate bargain. In exchange for his soul’s freedom, he’ll give his captor what he wants, even if it means betraying his own family. But demons aren’t the only ones with secrets and Phelan’s might end up costing them both more than they’d ever imagined.

IGNI FERROQUE is a dark MM paranormal romance about a pious Necromancer and an incorrigible demon and what happens when their paths intersect. There’s scorching steam and brutal violence in this enemies-to-lovers tale, wrapped up with plenty of intrigue and betrayal. It is intended for a mature audience and listener discretion is advised. A full list of triggers can be found in the front matter of the book and at my website under Tropes & Triggers. This book can be listened to as a standalone, but it is highly suggested to listen to the series in order, as the history of Winslow and its witches builds on itself with each book.

So dark yet so good

I like most dark romances but even this one has a few scenes where I had to remind myself it was just a book. Remembering that let me embrace the darkness and ainqm glad ai did it was a truly great book with Lots of twist and turns.

Something completely different than the traditional enemies to lovers trope That made it so enthralling.

Great narration too. Really did well with portraying the characters and their emotions

Sinful Deprivation

Not for the faint of heart. Dark themes with human depravity, but somehow there is a happy ending amongst all this sin and deprivation. A unique take on what constitutes evil.

Blew Me Away

This story was beyond amazing. It went in directions I never expected and the ending blew me away!! The narration is nothing short of incredible. Such talent by both men.

Ashlyn is a true storyteller and this book is proof. Mindful of possible triggers.

OMFG that was EPIC!

Ashlyn Drewek soooo delivered again!! At first I was pissed this wasn't done as a duet it's a dual so we don't get as much JF Harding as Remeil 🥰 but it doesn't ruin the book itself!! This is book 2 in this Tennebrose collection & I LOVED the first plus throw in my FAV narrator & I freaking devoured it and loved every second so I was so stoked for this one but deeply wish it would've been a duet😭. I'm an avid fantasy/paranormal/spicy reader and these just check every box plus throw in lots of clearly researched facts/lore but these were my first MM solely books & I'm hooked but unsure how any could follow up on these two. It's not too necessary to read the first but it would help and well, I loved it. This book follows Phelan Oliver a necromancer/catholic on a wild ride.. well no spoilers ever but a push... it's MM with angst and confusion& fire with the paranormal 🔥
Plot 5/5 Spice 4.5/5 Performances: JF Harding 9/10 Michael Gallagher 8/10 (he's new to me but will make future cuts I'm very picky😉)
Overall Book Score 9/10 soooo excited for more unhappy about the wait now

Better to be a King in Hell....

Than to be a witch serving as a glorified librarian on earth... lol This was my first Ashlyn Drewek; the first book's blurb wasn't as intriguing to me so I skipped it, but now....I think I will have to check it out. I'm a huge fan of Michael Gallagher so that's how this title caught my interest. JF Harding is also a very talented performer so the two of them took this already gem of a book and raised it's level to the upteenth power. The world building was amazing and I loved the push and pull between our heroes Remiel and Phelan. There was plenty of heat and I admit some of the dub con was sexy if not slightly uncomfortable at times. This book did push me a little... and I likedthat.

4 starz - worthy of a repeat listen

Wickedly Wonderful

This is an amazing story that shows so perfectly that what we think of as good, isn’t always, and what’s considered evil isn’t always bad. I love these characters so much and how they both evolved. The story has so many twist and turn and a very satisfying ending!

Dark dark MM romance

MIND THE TRIGGERS PLEASE! A demon prince abducts his necromancer. Gives off stalker vibes. If you are looking for a dark, hot mm romance this is the perfect choice.

just wow

I am just blown away by the intricate story and the way it pulled the entire range of honest emotions from me.
Some of my emotions were inspired by my own personal religious trauma. My crushing desire to see the characters develop in a satisfactory way. The fact that they actually accomplished that, and much, much more.

Do mind the triggers, because this story contains a very well thought out and emotional D/s relationship.

I see a crazy amount of myself in Remiel, and I love how satisfying the relationship is between he and Phelan. I will be reading this again. it has been placed in the favorites category.

A priest and his demon

The narrators brought this story to life perfectly!

I am new to PNR books but from Book 1 Malum Discordiae I was sucked into this world.

In this book you’ll see a demon corrupting a priest. A priest that until this demon hadnt sinned staying away from carnal urges. You’ll see him struggle to understand what draws him to this demon and fight against it as he starts experience pleasure. There’s CNC, push and pull and alot of spice mixed in with possessiveness.

Of course there is so much more to this story. And that ending was everything!!
