Very good book but could be better if the relationships are more fleshed out. But definitely will keep reading!

Good could be great

loved the story line for book 2

PROS:

- More information about the different elements he can cultivate
- Actual build up with the relationship with different women instead of straight up fucking
- Action scenes are well thought out and well written
- Combination of elements are a refreshing way to add to the genre
- MC is less cocky than before and shows respect and humility until provoked or disrespected
- While MC is strong, he still relies on allies to cover his weakness, thus supporting characters matter.
- Narrator is pretty good in bringing life to the different characters

CONS:

- I hope the next book author can hold off with adding more women, he has like 5 in the end. Please make them matter, build them up, make us care about them. While they are unique from each other(for now), the fact that they are ok with him with multiple women and barely any jealousy happens kinda degrades their value.

Overall I really like where this is going and I await for the 3rd installment of this series. It is a great improvement compared to the first and I hope it continues to do so in the future books.

Complete Improvement compared to the first book!

I absolutely love the series. I normally absolutely positively hate audio books when all the female characters are played by a male. however Pavi seems quite capable of at least making it palpable. this is quite literally some of Dante's best writing. now Dante doesn't like me much. He kicked me out of his Facebook group for asking why the mc in dragon breeder asked the dumbest questions. However I still like the guy and I still like his writing. I hope to see more of the series and will continue to buy his books.

just as good if not better!

yes I say it is but if you liked the first book you'll be hard pressed to say different.

Better than the first

Gave this series a fair go, but it has the plot depth of a saterday morning cartoon and dose nothing that comes to mind to give consequence to decisions made.
The bad guys are bad, the good guys are good, brain cells are in short supply, the conflicted are nigh blind to anything untill the last hour. I could go on.

In short, this is a power fantasy and at best a guilty pleasure.

disappointment,

I listen to most books at 1.2 to 1.5 speed depending on the cadence of the narrator. Most sex scenes I speed up to 2.5 to 3.0+ depending on how long it goes. This book was a joy to listen to on the way to and from work. I will keep an eye out for the continuation of this series.

Much much better than Book 1

This book far outstripped it’s predecessor. It still has a few issues but I enjoyed it greatly.

Much better than the first

This is your typical shonen/harem inspired time killer with some potential for interesting world building but some bad tropes (white savior much?) it’s got moments but at the same time the villains are cliché af and the dialogues with them is painful. The narrator doesn’t have much range for emotion or inflection and at parts seems completely detached emotionally from the book he is reading(he’ll perk up a tiny bit for the sex scene though >.>). Shakespeare this book is not but damn man you got paid to read this out loud not read it in your sleep.

Monotone drone for weebs

the king and son are too stupid with less than no common sence through the whole book. what im trying to say is the way the author wrote the characters is too unbelievable, no one would ever be that stupid over and over again really annoying and it ruined the entire book because the whole time I was upset. like a horror movie your watching where all these people were murdered by somthing and there's a noise outside and they are going to go check alone and your screaming to the idiot on the tv they are going to die.

never again from this author
