Publisher's summary

Two shattered souls...backed into a corner and ready to fight for their lives, for each other, for their impossible love...

Kassenia Bennett isn't your normal 25-year-old spoiled rich girl from Fairfield, Connecticut. Her life was ruined forever when her father killed her entire family in a tragic murder-suicide. Willing to do whatever it takes, she's determined to make a life for herself. Start her own business. Change the world.

Declan knows the feel of pain, he knows the taste of blood, and he knows what it's like to be alone. The muscled, tattooed outlaw biker only cares about one thing in this world, his club Dante's Nine - they're the only family he's ever known...and he's willing to pay the ultimate price to save his brothers from ruin.

Desperate to get the cash his club needs, Declan agrees to fight in a series of underground death matches - where the stakes are high, and only one man leaves the ring alive. With three fights down and one more to go, the Dante's Nine MC is almost back on its feet.

When Kassenia answers an unlikely Craigslist ad for a dream summer internship in Las Vegas, she has no idea she's about to fall into the web of the dangerous and mysterious badass biker Declan Tiberi. He'll move her out to Vegas, give her the funding, resources, and business connections to start her company...the only catch: she has to sign a contract promising that she won't fall in love with Declan - if she does she'll lose everything.

Kassenia knows he's off-limits, untouchable, that he's the worst man she could possibly want. Declan knows she's the sexiest woman he's ever laid eyes on, and he'll have her...even if it's the last thing he does.

Their relationship is built on lies and deceit from the very beginning. Declan knows she's falling for him, but he can't tell her the ultimate truth: that he has to throw the final fight at the end of the summer - or his club gets nothing.

Rediscovered how good this was

Been listening to this one as an incentive to exercise more, allowing myself to listen only while I walked or jogged. My walks were too short!! Found myself going longer just so I didn't have to shut it down

Good start to the series :)

3 stars

This was an alright story. Kassenia wasn't the most likable character to start out with but she was ok for the most part. Declan was fine but we don't get much exposure to him really until the very end when everything gets explained.

Kassenia is just graduating from college with her Masters. Her parents and sister died in a tragedy a couple years ago and Kassenia has had trouble trusting people or letting new people in her life (except for her 1 BFF). Her relationships are non-existent as she tends to go out with guys just so they can get her off (and then throws them out as soon as they put any demands on her).

Declan is a business entrepreneur, an underground fighter, an ex Navy SEAL, and a member of a MC. He grew up rough and ended up in the Navy because it was his best bet to stay out of jail. He ended up as a fighter, MC member and entrepreneur later, juggling many distinct parts of his life to make things work. Problems come up when the MC has money issues and Declan decides to sign up for 4 fights to get money the MC needs.

Declan had won 3 of the 4 fights when the contract changes and he's expected to die at the end of fight #4 or the MC gets nothing. He's unhappy about this but Declan also doesn't feel he has much to live for and figures he'l give his life for his brothers (but doesn't tell them what's going on). Declan decides he wants to fall in love before he dies and puts an ad in Craigslist for a summer intern/partner in a start-up company which Kassenia sees and applies for. The ad is unlike anything else she's seen before but the offer could help with a start-up business idea she really wants to make happen. She replies to the ad hoping that it's a legit opportunity. When she meets Declan (he comes roaring up to their interview on his harley) he isn't at all what she's expecting and it just makes her more leery. However, when they start talking there's a definite connection between them and the business part sounds like a dream come true for her. Kassenia is a bit surprised by the line in the contract stating that she loses everything if she falls in love with Declan but considering she's never felt soft feeling for another guy before she doesn't worry about that part. Kassenia decides it's worth the risk to accept the internship with Declan and see what happens.

Kassenia gets to Vegas and is set up in a great apartment and Declan buys her a whole new wardrobe (after all she has to have adequate cloths for her new position, right?). There's a definite attraction between them and even though love is outlawed between them, it seems pretty apparent that they're both very interested in sleeping together. This doesn't happen right away but they do get to know each other better as they work on the start-up business. Kassenia gets to see the different sides of Declan's life and she feels the need to dig deeper and figure out what makes him tick. The summer is skimmed over pretty quickly (showing certain times between them but most of it is off page) and things start getting more serious between Declan and Kassenia (even though they're not supposed to). When time for the final fight come, Declan has decided he doesn't want to die after all but he doesn't see a way to get out of it. There is drama and some danger but they do get worked out and things get wrapped up nicely with Declan and Kassenia starting a HEA together.

This was a good story. For me, Kassenia came across badly in the first 10% of the story and it took some time for me to get to a point where I was interested in seeing her together with Declan. The story itself was interesting but there were some definite areas where I had to suspend disbelief or thought there were some plot holes (some of which were resolved in the explanation at the end but not all). Overall it was a decent story and if another book in the series is release I might give it a try.

* note - The narrator did a good job but there were some editing mistakes. The editing issues weren't enough to ruin the book but they were definitely noticeable.

Creative and addicting.. couldn't get enough!!

Where does Impossibly rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Top of the list!!

What did you like best about this story?

Without giving anything away, the best element of this book was the instant bond you feel with the characters. The depth of their pasts really makes you feel connected to them, and you feel as though you are part of their story.

What does Katrina Day bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is vocally descriptive and very well spoken.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Definitely!!

it was......sweet.

It's definitely not what I pictures for a biker. good looking/ rich / biker / fighter/ business mogul . it was to much for a title for one person. lol. and the drama was not intense at all but it kept me entertained... so I'll give it a 4 star overall.

SADLY, NOT THE USUAL MC 'HARD BALL' LISTEN

Unfortunately this listen wasn't what I was expecting...... the author tried to make Declan everything that's popular in a Hero - he's rich, he's an Entrepreneur, he's an ex Navy Seal, he's an Underground Fighter and he's an ex President of a MC Club but he didn't come across strongly as any of them. The storyline does involve 'his family' the members of Dante's Nine MC Club but it isn't an MC book - it's about the dilemma Declan has been forced into whilst trying to help ease the Club's money problems and his last wish.....to fall in love.

In the beginning Kassenia, a 25 yr old virgin, was a bitch who dated her boyfriends for 3/4 dates and liked them getting her off but never reciprocated and shoved them out the door afterwards laughing about it with her friend. She did mellow after she met Dante but the damage to her character, for me, was already done and I couldn't warm to her. Dante didn't come across as an Alpha type at all and I didn't really feel the romance between the two. There was lots of sex, secrets, intrigue as what he was going to do and a HEA but there was a wasted Prologue that didn't get explained.

Mainly told from the Heroine's POV and the narrator was weak.... especially with the Hero's voice which should have sounded sexy and strong and, who knows, another narrator could've maybe helped this listen gain another star.

Worth a credit? If you don't expect a tough Alpha Hero or a drama filled MC listen then you won't be disappointed, yes there are scenes at the Club but they're not at all heavy. I don't think it's worth a credit but maybe buy when on sale.

Biker, Biz man, Navy Seal, Underground Boxer Alpha

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I have never written anything long than a term paper so I don't like to critique. I may take away a hat or two from this guy and focus on Alpha or Biker or SEAL or Boxer.

If you’ve listened to books by Colleen Masters before, how does this one compare?

This is my first one. I enjoyed the story though it didn't delve as intensively as others in the genre into just one hat. I did not feel that kick of entitlement or possession of the woman. They just kind of fell into sync and were are pair from then on.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't recall one right this second.

Did Impossibly inspire you to do anything?

Not yet but it is still possible.

Cassie and Declan

Interesting story about loyalty, love and fate. As Cassie graduates from U C Berkeley she finds an unusual posting for a intense that seems too good to be true. After an interview with Declan she decides to take the offer. She and Declan seem to be made for each other.

Not A Typical MC Romance

It was impossible not to fall for these characters. With a unique plot, and the MC being more in the background than in other MC romances, this book was a refreshing read.

There were some production/ editing issues that need to be cleaned up and hopefully, the author and narrator get that fixed before book two. I'm looking forward to more in the series.

sorry to the narrator

she kept repeating lines. It was also hard to tell the difference between the male parts n the female parts they sounded the same. The story line is good the narrator made it a hard listen.
