I love the story line, I love the book itself. I wish that the narrator wasnt so.... bland. she isnt monotone perse, it's that she doesnt do inflection or much change when it comes to other chart. I do like how when its supposed to be a phone call or mind to mind that it seems more distant. that was a nice little twist.

I love these books I don't see myself not reading all of them granted some are a little better than others but you get so deeply involved with each character that it's hard not to get attached and feel some sort of way emotionally when something happens to one of the characters in the series

I was hoping she would town down the sex scenes in this one. First 10 books you have a Christian almost prudish Anits Blake. The 11th book she turns into a nympho with explicit scenes and by book 13 shes into beastiality.

I felt there was almost more sex than story, which is the opposite of the first few books. This is unfortunate because I love the stories & mysteries. The sex sometimes adds to the overall, but often gets drawn out too long and interrupts the flow.

I've read this series twice and have been listening through for a 3rd time. The narrator sucks! I can't wait to get back to the books with the original narrator. She makes Nathaniel and Micah sound like 12 year olds which makes the dirty scenes really weird. And the way she can't pronounce necromancer and calls werewolves we'rewolves. Ugh. This book is already a very drawn out book by the author but the narrator just had me annoyed and wishing I had just read it myself.

I struggled listening to this one.
