About this listen

A tour of Hell.

In this latest installment of horror-master Edward Lee’s critically acclaimed Infernal series, join hybrid demons, zombie prostitutes, and fallen angels as they journey through the smoking, blood- and-gut-splattered streets of the Mephistopolis - Lucifer’s eternal city of the damned.

A city...in Hell. That’s what Hell is now, an endless metropolis spiring with black skyscrapers, raging in eternal horror. The moon is black and the sky is the color of blood. Screams rip down streets and through alleys, carried by malodorous winds. The people of this place trudge the sidewalks back and forth, to home, to work, to stores, etc., just as they do in any city. There’s only one difference. In this city, the people are all dead.

Now, two normal living humans, humans just like you, have discovered the most time-held occult secret. They have the ability to enter this city of the damned, but with powers greater than even a fallen angel. They’re angels themselves now - infernal angels. One means to foil the most monstrous plot ever devised, the other means to set it into action and bring all the evil of Hell to the Living Earth. Join them on their journey. Join them in the guts of the City Infernal....

Welcome back...to Hell.

Edward Lee has a great vision of Hell. Liked this better than the first.

While I enjoyed the first book I have to say that the second book was much better. Less Hokey. And it didn’t have an entire book filled with that Viy character. Walters voice is not much of a joy to listen to but it’s not so bad as to take away from the great story. Cassi and her damn obtuseness can get old but it’s not as bad as book 1. Overall I was very entertained and the story went to a place I never expected. Good. I didn’t want to be right. I wanted to be surprised. Mission accomplished.

The darkness just keeps getting darker!

I have waited SO LONG for these books to be released in audiobook format. I am so glad that I held out, especially given that I don't have the attention span to sit down and read. This series just keeps getting better, darker, more gruesome, with some really disturbing imagery. I love the version of hell that Mr. Lee is able to portray and have to say that it is one of the more intriguing depictions I have listened to.

This is an easy 5/5 and I can't wait to move on to the next book!

Ehh just enough

Well kinda like the first book, it was just interesting enough to keep me listening. But that’s really the best I can say about it

Walter is ridiculous

Wait until you hear Walters voice!!!

The narrator was terrible in creating the character’s voices. Story wasn’t as good as the previous books.

You can skip this one.
