About this listen

Bonnie Rae Shelby is a superstar. She's rich. She's beautiful. She's impossibly famous. And Bonnie Rae Shelby wants to die.

Finn Clyde is a nobody. He's broken. He's brilliant. He's impossibly cynical. And all he wants is a chance at life.

One girl. One boy. An act of compassion. A bizarre set of circumstances. And a choice - turn your head and walk away, or reach out your hand and risk it all?

With that choice the clock starts ticking on a man with a past and a girl who can't face the future. With the world against them, two very different people take a journey that will not only change their lives but may cost them their lives as well.

The weaver..

Amy Harmon weaves her tapestry of stories and pulls the reader in. She manages to sculpt characters with unique traits.
The narrator is wonderful and easy to listen to. All in all I have read 4 books by this author...each fresh and beguiling.

Entertaining love story

I like Amy Harmon’s writing and the narration is excellent. She writes romance with substance. I like how she includes social commentary too. A good listen.
I only chose less than 5 to save 5 for all-time best books.

True love

A great story on two levels of Bonnie and Clyde. Twist and turns selfish people and loving people. Amy did it again.

Outstanding!

I am picky and I loved this story. The math twist added a perfect addition to the story. The Bonnie snd Clyde added some history. This narrator rocks! Every time I read an Amy Harmon I think it’s my favorite but this one tops them all!!!

I just lover Amy Harmon

Ms. Harmon has done it again, I said it before and I will say it again - she knows words, she knows how to put words together to write simply yet beautifully, lyrical love stories.

“I love you Bonnie. So much that I hurt with it. And I hate it, and I love it, and I want it to go away, and i want it to stay forever....”

Bonnie Rae Shelby is a hillbilly country singer, a rich superstar. She has just finished her tour in Boston. She is consumed with grief with the recent loss of her twin sister, her grandmother is controlling and conniving .. all Bonnie wants is to just wants to die.

Infinity (Finn) James Clyde in a convict, a nobody, he is brilliant, misplaced and introverted man that just wants a chance at life.

As Finn heads home he sees a girl ready to leap off the Tobin Bridge - does he stop or does he just ignore. In an act of compassion, he stops and prevents Bonnie from completing her task. This begins the journey of two very different people, a modern Bonnie and Clyde, a journey that will change both of their lives, a journey from Boston to LA, a journey that may cost them their lives.

“Bonnie and Clyde. Lets just hope this little adventure has a better ending than theirs did.”

Overall, I totally enjoyed this book. The story is told in dual POV, I love how Amy tied in math and numbers as related chapter title .. why? Finn is good with numbers.

“I believe in numbers. The ones you can see and the ones you can't. The real and the imaginary, the rational and the irrational, and every point on lines that go on forever. Numbers have never let me down. They don't waffle. They don't lie. They don't pretend to be what they're not. They're timeless.”

… and our 2 main characters, as with all of Ms. Harmon’s characters they are unique, one of a kind and well developed. I immediately feel in love with Finn but took a little time to warm up to Bonnie - she started out to be a little manipulative. I enjoyed how Ms. Harmon tied in the story of the real Bonnie and Clyde.

This was an ebook read (kindle unlimited) as well as an audiobook. Fully enjoy Ms. Gilbert narration of this story - her southern accents were spot on but a little work IMO of her male New England accent

Amazing performance

I love this story but this performance is even more amazing. How she can go between a female “hillbilly twang” and a male Boston accent is beyond me. This performance made the story very real.
