About this listen

Chaos is about to erupt.

During the aftermath of a massive solar flare that has plunged the country into the Dark Ages, Abram and Nick must prepare the compound against the growing bandit threat. But will earlier decisions sink their chances of survival and put those they love at risk of being annihilated?

A brewing danger is closing in.

As if the bandit threat wasn’t bad enough, an erratic stranger is closing in on Abram’s compound. But something is lurking beneath the surface of this man, who sees the collapse of society as the greatest opportunity of his life. Will the stranger swoop in at Abram and Nick’s weakest moment and seize control of the compound, or will he play with his prey first?

A few choices away from destruction.

As they find their days numbered, Abram, Nick, and the rest of the community at the compound are faced with crucial decisions that could help them survive the chaos - or send them to their eventual demise. In this new world, choices matter more than ever and make the difference between life and death.

Will they make the right choices?

Instant Chaos is book 2 in the EMP Crisis Series, a post-apocalyptic survival thriller series about regular people struggling to survive after a solar EMP.

This series is filled with everything you would expect in a post apocalyptic series PLUS family, friendship, values and coming together to fight against all that is evil. The characters, and there are quite a few, are realistic and people you love or love to hate! Narrator, Kevin Pierce brings them all to life in the Audible book! The authors also share their knowledge of survival tips here and there. Highly recommend this series. I am off the read/listen to book 3 now.

The story is building. Very happy with all the characters. Also with all the prepping details. Can't wait to find out what happens in book 3

Very happy with book two.

as Kevin always does. The story was pretty good. Two changes that would have greatly improved the read. First, very little details on Preps, which would be useful as an example. Second, books 1 and 2 should have been combined. that is the primary reason I will not be purchasing book 3. Overall, good story.

Kevin Pearce knocks it out of the park

It’s a great story! I love EMP stories as an EMP is involved in the novel I’m writing there’s some stuff that’s predictable, but the storytelling is so good it doesn’t matter anyway
Gunna get the next book now :)

Great story :)

Generally good story, but the bad guys could only have become suddenly intent on committing suicide. And may own the place and can rule like a tyrant of us wishes of he can use the input of other skilled people to learn how to survive. He is slowly figuring it out.

Too short, had guys too stupid

this one is better than most and seems more realistic how it portrays the characters. it is easy to project yourself into the story. Kevin Pierce, narrator does an excellent job, as usual.

excellent writing and narration

I listened to the first book a year ago and didnt really like some of the character/plot developments. I like Keven Pierce, so I decided to revisit this series. I was pleasantly surprised with book two, which kept my attention throughout. Im now partially into book 3 which it also really good so far. I might even go back and give book one another try.

Better then I thought

"Instant Chaos" is in the upper eschaton of EMP survival series. It's clean, and the tension is taut. A group thrown together, not necessarily by choice, but learning to survive. And learning to. let others in. The second installment finds Abram, Nick, Shelly, Corey, and the others learning to trust those around them. Raiders are making their way around their compound, and they know there aren't enough people to fight off invaders. But after the debacle with Gary, trusting new people isn't easy. The stakes stay high throughout the book. But it's never outlandish or over dramatic. Just true to life. Russell and Holden are a great writing team, especially in this genre.

Kevin Pierce makes the reader feel what the characters must feel at all times. The stakes are always fever pitch. But yet, he's the calm the reader seeks too. It's perfection.
