Publisher's summary

Whatever you do, do not listen.

Ignore that pull, the need to escape from drudgeries of life and find peace and solitude within nature. It is not the cool breeze and the scent of pine that whispers your name.

No, these things within the forest will rip out your heart and devour your soul. You will tremble as they revel in your madness, taking everything from you and leaving you with nothing. Delve inside this anthology of what truly lurks within the shadows of the trees.

Created by award-winning horror and fiction authors around the world. We dare you to take this journey with us and find out what horrors await you.

The Forest Is Calling. Will you answer?

Great horror anthology

I rarely find a horror anthology that is well written, narrated well, and has stories that are unique and actually creepy. This one is all of those. All of the stories were fully developed and a few actually made want to look over my shoulder when I was listening outdoors at night. As an ardent fan of horror, that doesn’t happen often. Highly recommend.

Something for everyone

I enjoyed this collection of stories. There is a wide variety of monsters or creepy situations in this book. This also had the perfect narrator. A great read.

Absolutely Fantastic (and I'm a snob)

This is pretty much the very best horror anthology I have listened to on Audible, and trust me, "horror anthology" is my main search phrase.
These stories are intelligent, creative, and engaging... they typically don't answer all of your questions (and I *love*that!!!), they don't spell things out for you, and they have just a touch of the surreal. There's natural... then supernatural... then beyond that you get into the surreal/unreal, and this has just the right amount of that last element.
Honestly, I've probably listened to *hundreds* of horror collections here, and this one checked all my boxes. Many times I listen and think I should do a review (whether positive or negative) - this collection *compelled* me to do a review.
Big thanks to all who were involved. The narrator made me a bit uncomfortable right from the first story, where he breathily sang for the sake of the story... as the stories wound along, I found that slight uncomfortability only added to the experience.
So very happy with this purchase. If you like your horror edgy, not always with the "good side" winning, and leaving you with lingering questions to ponder, this is probably very much for you.

Great book of short stories!

This book really surprised me with the quality of its short stories! The stories were visceral and savage. I believe out of about 20 stories there were only 2 or 3 that were weak. Trust me buy this book you won't regret it!
