About this listen

His wolf is out of control. She's a wild thing that won't be tamed.

Ex-Army Specialist Jace River has a lock on his bedroom door, but it's not to keep anyone out; it's to keep his nightmares from breaking loose. His wolf is an out-of-control killer, which means he can never risk shifting, never truly be part of his pack, and definitely never take a mate.

Piper Wilding works for the Army as a civilian, traveling the world for her work in counterintelligence and fighting the bad guys while bedding down the good ones. The best part? It keeps her far from her asshole father in Seattle, the rest of the Wilding pack, and the pressure to take a mate. Settling down isn't her thing, and after what happened to her mother, Piper vowed she would never be tied down by magic or men again.

While Jace's wolf keeps him Sleepless in Seattle, Piper returns home to find her missing kid brother. When she breaks into the River brothers' safehouse, sparks fly and claws come out. Her sexy skills threaten to bring out Jace's wolf, and Jace's good-guy hotness reminds Piper how tempting shifter men can be. They're like fire and gasoline, and as they race to find Piper's brother, the heat threatens to burn down all their carefully constructed walls. But falling in love has never been so dangerous - and being together means taking risks that neither might survive.

Recommended: Listen to Jaxson (River Pack Wolves, Book 1) first! Jace is a complete novel with HEA, the second in the River Pack Wolves trilogy (all standalone stories, but best enjoyed if you listen to them in order!).

Contains scorching hot shifters, alpha military heroes, and sexy spy girls. Only listeners over 18 should dive into the deliciously hot world of the River brothers.

River Pack Wolves Are Hot!

I loved this story. Jace is a fine man but doesn't realize it. Piper is a rebellious hottie with a stubborn streak and a kick-butt job. When they get together sparks fly while they head hell bent for election into their adventure and their HEA.

Better than the 1st book.

Great story of Jace and Piper. Jace is a tortured shifter traumatized by a war that betrayed everything he believes in. Piper is the daughter her father calls bastard! How will they be able to overcome their fears and insecuries to join power and conquer their enemies?

Loved this story of Jace and Piper. Lots of romance and action, secrets and betrayal.....everything you need for a great story.

Looking forward to reading Jared's story.

So Jace is huge huh?

I think this may have been my favorite in this series. Piper is independent, fiesty and damaged. Jace is commanding, gentle, patient, sexy, huge and damaged. Did I mention that he is sexy and huge? Lol, totally excited about book 3!

The story is good

The story line is good... but the performance from the lady killed it for me. Her male voices were horrible and made the characters sound like a creeper you didn’t want any where near you. Besides that it was good.

Wolf conspiracy

This was a great story. Piper is a strong and sassy she wolf using her feminine wiles as a spy. She's independent and very likable. However, she refuses to mate because a family tragedy. After her backstory, and her relationship with her father, I don't blame her. Jace is also a very lovable character. He's strong, loyal and he believes in Piper even when she doesn't believe in herself. However he also refuses to take a mate because he can't shift because he can't control his Wolf.

I enjoyed seeing this couple grow together and let their guard down. I also enjoyed the adventure and the mystery in the story. It's the perfect balance of action and romance. The introduction to the Colonel was perfect as well. His actions in this book had affected so many in this book series/ universe. I'm excited to see how Jared's story will unfold. The only thing I hated was the mating scene at the end. Things got a bit too freaky for me.

Male narrator doing female dialogue is distracting

This was a werewolf romance novel, more interesting premise then some, with a hint of beastiality near the end, is it strange I found that scene hot still?

This book picks up right where the first left off, I thought the first one had a touch more complexity to it. The problem with these stories is they all have an interesting complex premise but they don’t flush out the setups in the story fully. When Olivia’s vision showed it was night outside where they were holding Piper’s brother I thought oh he must be in Afghanistan, but no of course not her witchy gps was off and he was conveniently located in Seattle. There are just so many diff ways the story could have played out and instead of allowing a natural discovery of the juicy details the author just basically gives us some exposition. Olivia just sits down and tells us about her messed up family instead of us all learning it together as part of the plot. More showing and less telling please!!

Absolutely Enchanting!

I didn't think part 2 would be as good as the first part but yes! The narration was great. Piper and Jace had a passion that was great. Also I was so glad they were able to get Piper's brother out of captivity. Sad that her father was a piece of well you will find out. Now onto part 3.

Quick Hot Military themed PNR

If you like strong heroines and even stronger hotter alpha heroes look no further. The brothers story continues. Its what I like and expect from a short PNR listen. I will say at the very end it gets a bit weird for a quick minute or two until they both shift to human form but not enough to put me off the book.
