About this listen

Tajael:

I am an angeling of the light, protector class, assigned to guardian duty. And I am tempted.

A war brews in the immortal realms between the Angels of Light, created to love and protect humanity, and their ancient enemy, the Fae. The Fae have created a demon plague to stop the humans and their technology from invading the immortal realms.

I'm tasked with protecting a beautiful scientist who may do exactly that.

But this duty is fraught with danger. Not due to the demons who hunt her, but because a fall from lust will plunge me into shadow. I've already been marked by the darkness of that realm, and I've vowed never to return.

Charlotte:

I'm a scientist, a physicist, a woman of reason. And I don't believe in angels. My ex broke me in ways I didn't even know I could break. But I've moved on and put the nightmares behind me.

Now I have work to do, a theory to test, and a billionaire lined up to fund my experiments. If I'm successful, it will change the world. Everything's finally coming together. Then my co-worker attacks me, my hot neighbor saves me, and, suddenly, I'm wondering if there's more to my theories about an extra-dimensional world than I ever suspected.

Fallen Angels is a follow-up series from the best-selling Fallen Immortals series. It contains sexy, hot angels of light and shadow, and only readers over 18 should dip into the sinfully delicious world of the Fallen Angels series.

Charlotte and Tajael - Can He Stay in the Light?

TAJAEL
I am an angeling of the light, Protector class, assigned to Guardian Duty… and I am Tempted. I really enjoyed getting to know Tajael and learning about his struggle not to succumb to the showdow realm. He has been tasked with guarding a human scientist whose work could effect the whole of humanity.

CHARLOTTE
I’m a scientist, a physicist, a woman of reason… and I don’t believe in angels. So says Charlotte but that's before she meets Tajael the angel who has been tasked with keeping her safe. Charlotte is a truly good person, she stops every night to talk to and sometimes feed a homeless man. She has a strong character having survived an abusive marriage.

Tajael is feeling very tempted, he is so attracted to Charlotte so he asks his mentor for help but this help is refused, Taj fears that there is an ulterior motive behind his orders to protect Charlotte - Marcos wants more Anglings to build an army for the light, but if Taj beds Charlotte will he fall into the shadow realm?

Charlotte thinks that the handsome man who saved her from a co-workers unwanted advances is a near neighbour and she begins to fantasise about him, little realising that he is an angel. As the relationship between these two develops their attraction is incredible! Their chemistry is tangible.

In this book there are angels, demons, vampires and even a dragon. The storyline is very well developed and has a wonderful conclusion whilst leaving the door open for more. The story is wonderfully narrated by Greyson Ash, Patrick Garrett who do an incredible job of bringing Taj and Charlotte to life.

I was gifted a copy of this book and am voluntarily writing my review.

Guilty Pleasure

Ahhh, the angels. Many of us just can't help loving their stories of falling for the humans they protect. I happen to be one of those reader who find these stories guilty pleasures, although I'll admit that most of the books in this genre are just so-so. This one is one of the good ones.

It's smart, which I love. The conversations that Tajael and Charlotte have are thoughtful and intelligent. Okay... I should point out that the previous statement only applies when their clothes are on. The dirty talk these two engage in while in the throws of passion didn't show much intelligence. But then, their brains would have been starved for oxygen, so they get a pass on that one. My point is, though, that this isn't just a slow burn version of a teeny bopper romance. Nope. There's depth here, and good characters as well. The plot is worthy, and keeps the reader interested. The tension between Charlotte and the incandescent Tajael hums like high tension power lines on a hot summer's day. I also love that these two characters are intelligent enough to consider consequences rather than just fall into bed with each other because they're attracted.

The author refers to this as an 18+ story for good reason. If adult language and graphic sex scenes are not you're thing, bear that in mind. Honestly, the book would have been better without the constant f-bombs. To me, it shows a lack of imagination on the part of the author. But I realize not everyone feels that way. Even so, I won't let the language stop me from enjoying a good book.

Charming story

It got a little scarey but I would have liked these characters even without the drama. Well done.

I love this...

...and I thought I wouldn't. Tajael is so gentle and so restrained, and Caroline is a badass female scientist. I also love the sci-fi part. I'm a sucker for believable science fiction., even if I don't understand all the technical lingo. And I loved that this had two actors...well done.

Should be more

Love the book but hate the cliff hanger endings which is a repeated problem in her books. I have listened to all of her audio books and there are many character stories left unfinished, such a disappointment. Some sexual moments in the books. Overall great stories...

Tajael

I tried to love this book, but it never happened. I just didn't connect with the characters. I doubt that I will continue with the series.
