Excellent choice

This is a fantastic choice for an introductory Java text. It is far more readable and comprehensive than most books in this price range. I learned Python from the author's similar title on Python, so when it came time to review Java, I downloaded this text and found it to be of the same high quality. This text's clean, concise chapters make it ideal for self-paced study.

Best one

I have some C programming experience and have always wanted to learn an object oriented language but have never had the time or motivation to do so until now. "Java for Beginners" is written in a more detailed manner. Which I find much easier to comprehend.

Well written

It's well-written, and you have the added security of knowing it's an Oracle book. Java is not a language into which you can dive headfirst without suffering greatly.

Code Your Way to Success

Scott Brandt, my coding Yoda! Jason Wright’s voice? Like a debugger whispering sweet syntax. This audiobook took me from “Hello, World” to “Hello, Job Offers.”
Brandt’s examples? Practical. His exercises? Brain flexes. I built a weather app (umbrella sales soared) and a cat meme generator (Internet fame pending).
So, fellow code warriors, grab your headphones. Java awaits. And remember: semicolons are life.
