About this listen
After her estate is entailed away, Jessamine Foster has no choice but to live with relatives who detest her. When her aunt gives her an ultimatum to leave, Jessamine accepts a position as companion to Lord Kirkendale's sister - even though she's been warned her predecessors can't seem to resist the earl's exceptional good looks. Can Jessamine manage to hold on to her job without losing her heart?
To honor a promise made to his dying father, Lord Kirkendale agrees to an arranged marriage to a woman he cannot love. Although he is resigned to a life without sentiment, the arrival of his sister's new companion awakens a slumbering passion. Can he find a way to secure his own happiness without sacrificing his family's honor, or will his broken promise result in the ruination of the person he loves most?

Delightful, Fun and Clean!
I really enjoyed Jessamine's Folly. Just when I thought is was going to be a bit predictable the author threw in a twist! It was a delight to listen to a clean romance with a bit of mystery as well. Characters were well developed, some loveable and others that were just nasty. All performed well by the narrator. I was very glad there was an epilogue.

Jessamine's Folly
I enjoyed this book very much, both in the ebook and now audiobook formats. I felt for Jessamine, and found myself hoping she and Lord Kirkendale could get their happy ending. Do they? You'll have to listen to find out!
Sweet and providing just a hint of Gothic and attention to period details, the characters are well-drawn and I particularly liked the early 20th century period details. fans of late Victorian romance will find this a satisfying listen.

Excellent Edwardian Novel!
Excellent is the best way to describe Ms Rogers' book and it's narrator. The storyline was not at all predictable and full of unsuspected twists but never fear the outcome was pleasant. Loved the characters and their unique roles in this well-written book. Loved the fact that there were lots of deep emotions circling around but the romance was clean and refreshing. And loved the plot details that kept you listening until the very end. Excellent listen!

What does Stevie Zimmerman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Stevie Zimmerman plays each character beautifully! Its like watching a movie.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES
Any additional comments?
I love how Miss Rogers writes and I am very grateful I can read a good story without R rated scenes. Its like reading a Jane Austen . That is far and few in-between, So thank you Miss Rogers I can't wait to see more of your books!

More Suzanne G. Rogers, Please
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The theme wasn't all that new, which is fine with me because a good story can be told in so many different ways, but the depth of feeling from all of the characters was very good - in the villans as well as the heros. Love the twists here and there. I hope audible brings more Suanne G Rogers books to its store!
