Story
Spencer Quinn’s first original audio short story reveals how everyone’s favorite detective duo - Chet the Dog and P.I. Bernie Little - came to meet before their first big case in Dog On It. As fans know, Chet first met Bernie on that fateful day when he flunked out of K-9 police school. The details of that day, though, have always remained a little vague (like so much in Chet’s doggy brain). All we know is that Chet had been the best leaper in his K-9 class, but for some reason he failed his final leaping test...and that a cat was involved...and that there was some blood. But whose?

A wonderfully quirky, heartbreaking, heart-warming, and thought-provoking story of a woman's dog who not only talks to her, he talks to God. Recently widowed Mary Fassler has no choice except to believe Rufus, the miniature schnauzer, who claims to speak to the Divine. The question is: Will Mary follow the dog's advice and leave everything she knows and loves? Is this at the urging of God? Or is it something else? I thought this was a super cute children's story and a good message. A fun book written by Barbara Morgenroth.
Jane M. Held was great. Her narration was perfect with this book mostly being from Jingle's point of view. I always knew who was talking. Great accents as well. A solid performance.

Well written story by Barbara MorgenrothFun Family Story

It takes place from the dog's point of view, a dog who understands most of the English language. Made me suspect that my cats know more than the 25-35 words experts say they understand.
Barbara Morgenroth's writing was purr-fect.... ummmm.... woof-fect.
Jane M. Held vocals were fabulous and not only for the voice of the dog but also to the humans that intersected his path. Her inflections were spot on.

This story was super cute and heartwarming. Believe it or not, there were parts that had me on edge a little waiting to see what happens. I am glad it worked the way it did for Jingles. This is a cute story for children. My job entails sometimes transporting young children and this is a book I will definitely share with them.
