Jonah’s book did not disappoint. I really enjoyed this book. I hope Tanner gets his own book, eventually. Thank you, Tijan for all that you do when creating worlds that consume your readers. You’re truly amazing!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tijan’s mafia world - one of my favourite places to be
If you want a succinct and action packed introduction to Tijan’s mafia world, then Jonah Bennett is the perfect book/audio for you. Jonah, although his family are immersed in the mafia world, is a surgeon, he wants nothing to do with the family ‘business’, in fact he chose being a doctor so he could balance out his heritage, and it also gives him purpose. Until one fateful day when both his worlds collide in the worst possible way. It turns out that walking away from the mafia world is harder than it seems. He might be able to protect himself, but how can he protect those he loves? Never a dull moment, and lots of cameos from one of my favourite mafia families (don’t forget we have Carter Reed and Cole too). A fantastic storyline, wonderful characters, and of course perfect writing. I can’t wait for more (please tell me we get Tanner’s story). Also got to say, I took full advantage of the whispersync facility for the first time - and I loved it. It worked so well. Narrated by Holly Warren and Benjamin Charles, both new to me narrators.

Love Hate relationship with the audiobook

the narrators
I love Tijan. I own all of her books, and most I have them on audiobooks as well, and for the most part I have enjoyed the voice actors, this book however the man ruined it with his growling instead of just speaking normally. It reminded me of how horrible Christian Bale did as Batman. The growling desperate voice just ruined this audio for me.

Short but so so sweet…
I so enjoyed reading this one. It packs a good story but it leaves me wanting more pages. The story is complete. It was just so good, I did not want it to end. Highly recommend the book and the audible. Loved listening to it as I read it. Now I am going to listen again as I get caught up on duties around the house. HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.

I've been wishing for this story for awhile. I didn't disappoint. Jonahs happiness and love are ripped from him in an act of violence. Carson is unwittingly thrown into the lives of the Bennett Mafia.

Such an emotional and romantic story!!
This was so great!! It was very emotional and I thought the narrators did such a great job portraying that emotion!! Benjamin Charles had me in tears when he read Jonah’s part.
Tijan never lets me down, she’s an amazing writer!!!

Jonah (sighs)
I loved Jonah. My only problem was how conflicted he was being sometimes, like make a choice and stick to it. I loved how he refused to abandon his siblings for the life he really wants to lead. Especially knowing they would honor what he decides. I feel like the narration could have been better, but it wasn't that bad.
