A very challenging listen but super helpful

Keller managed to engage with the text while always pointing out to the relevance of this book to our daily lives and our need of Christ. His treatment of the ghastly so called 2nd "epilogue" was both humbling and great.

Judges explained.

I have struggled with why God put this in His Word. Now I understand. Also appreciate the questions at the end so we can apply it to ourselves.

You need this

This audio book is excellent because of many reasons but chief among them is that it can be used to build the faith of a new believer but also grow and equip the mature believer as well. So many people do not understand how to read, understand, and apply the Old Testament. This book is the ttaining we need to find Christ in the book of Judges. if you struggle with Christianity, and particularly the conquest and it's moral grounds, this book is also for you.

Makes sense of a confusing part of the bible

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Definitely. Reading Judges in the bible can be a real emotional roller coaster... Things are good, bad, good, bad..more bad, and more bad. You want to bang your head against a wall. But Keller takes this book and brings it to life, puts it all together, and gives a much more broad and thought provoking view of this book. It makes sense to me now.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Great insights

This helps explain the real struggle that Christians have living out their believes. It also helps clarify the solution for the problem. Dr. Keller is one of the greatest writers of our time.

Outstanding commentary on Judges

Very well written. Extremely insightful teaching on the book of Judges. I will likely reread this several times just to grasp all that he explains here.

Recording not complete

Recording stops before the end of chapter 2. Where are the rest of the recordings of the whole book. The book says 6hours and 45minutes.

90 percent

Tim Keller does a good job with Judges but then he breaks his own rule in the end. He has said that you need to sum up the argument of someone you wish to criticize in a way they would recognise. Biblical revelation comes from God and the Bible is canon. If God gives revelation to someone it must agree with scripture. Now then go from there.
