Could not turn it off

I listened to this book almost all of the way through without pause. The author did a very good job of telling the story from the view point of the person singular. His use of verbs was excellent, in that, he created a fast pace, action packed story interlaced with moment of struggle and suspense. Excellent job writing the book.

The narrator also did a great job bring the story to life. His pace quicken and slowed at the appropriate times. Thus he converted the written word into action. Some people who reviewed the Audio Edition criticized the narrator's ability to quickly change from the male to female characters. I don't agree with their criticism and almost didn't buy the book because of their criticism. I am glad I bought it; otherwise, I would have missed a fun book.

had potential

Premise was interesting, unfortunately the narrator just sounds too much like a grandfather. His voice just doesn't match the characters and it got a bit distracting.

Jungle King Series, Jungle King Book 1

Introduction:
Greetings, fellow adventurers! I'm Kiba Snowpaw, the frosty alpha wolf from the icy world of HowlStrom, and I'm here to take you on a wild journey into the untamed world of "Jungle King #1" by Jack Porter. This review will give you the lowdown on this steamy and action-packed adventure that's left its mark on readers. So, buckle up for a thrilling ride through my furry perspective!

Basic Plot Summary:
"Jungle King" kicks off with a bang—or should I say, a splash? It all begins when a cave-diving expedition goes horribly wrong, opening a portal to a prehistoric world. Enter Professor Jake Montblanc, our unsuspecting hero, who must now protect a dozen college girls from extinction. With danger lurking in the jungle, survival becomes their top priority. But how does one navigate such a situation with twelve, let's say, spirited college babes in tow? The answer: protect, shelter, and make them as happy as possible. It's a survival story like no other, filled with adventure, romance, and unexpected twists.

Characters:
The characters in this tale are a mix of college girls and our well-meaning, slightly oblivious professor. While the premise might sound unconventional, it sets the stage for an engaging and unique dynamic. Each character brings something special to the table, from their distinct personalities to their undeniable determination to survive.

Structure:
Jack Porter keeps the narrative flowing smoothly, avoiding unnecessary complications. The pacing ensures that readers stay invested in the story, and the action keeps you on the edge of your seat. The balance between survival challenges and character interactions creates a compelling narrative.

Impact:
"Jungle King" offers a different kind of reading experience, combining elements of adventure, survival, and, well, some adult content. It's not for everyone, but those who enjoy a blend of genres and steamy encounters will find it captivating. The story's distinctiveness makes it memorable.

Hook and Thesis:
From the moment you dive into "Jungle King," you'll find yourself hooked by the promise of adventure and the unexpected challenges our characters face. The thesis here is clear: survival in a prehistoric jungle is no easy feat, and with a group of spirited college girls, it becomes an even wilder ride.

Praise and Critique:
Opinions on "Jungle King" vary, as it combines elements of adventure, romance, and explicit content. Some readers appreciate the unique premise and adventurous spirit, while others find it challenging to connect with the characters due to the nature of their interactions.

Evaluation:
This book's appeal lies in its distinctiveness, offering a blend of genres that cater to a specific audience. If you're looking for a wild and adventurous reading experience, "Jungle King" might be the right pick. However, if you prefer a more traditional narrative, it might not be your cup of tea.

Comparison:
"Jungle King" stands out as a distinct story in the realm of adventure and romance. While it may share some similarities with other survival-themed tales, its unique blend of elements sets it apart.

Conclusion:
As I wrap up this review from the frosty world of HowlStrom, I must say that "Jungle King #1" delivers an adventurous and unconventional reading experience. It's a rollercoaster of emotions and survival challenges that offers something different for those willing to explore its wild side. So, whether you're seeking adventure, steamy encounters, or a combination of both, "Jungle King" has something to offer. Dive in and see where this prehistoric journey takes you!

I recommend it.

alright so I had just finished Survivor book 2 and unfortunately three is not out yet. so the question became what next and the answer was see what else this author has written. Jungle King ended up being my choice after all who doesn't like dinosaurs. I do think putting the MC in a speedo is tantamount to blasphemy but with the exception of the egregious faux pas I really enjoyed the story. lastly I have to mention the narrator who did a fantastic job of helping bring the story..

Great pacing

Interesting, witty ending, and easy to fall into! I liked the idea of the Professor not being a total bookworm and the girls not being absurdly useless. It was far more realistic. I’m really looking forward to seeing how book 2 plays out

Suspension of non-belief suspended

There is only so much disbelief one can suspend. The situation is unbelievable and the characters are worse. Even the details of surviving were only barely researched. Bad actions somehow succeed when in no situation would an intelligent person would not even attempt them. They also exhibit strength and skills in hunting that is not common or expected from their background and would take years to develop. I have serious doubt as to continuing the series.

Fun listen

Good book with good action and build up, glad it wasn’t just a smut book. There was sex but it made sense and the relationships build. The story it self is interesting and seems to be going somewhere so I’m glad I gave it a shot

Great story!

Thank you to the author for not just writing gratuitous smut (beware Eric vall books). The narrator does a good job, but sounds like my grandpa which is a bit off putting.. not exactly what I want to imagine. He could read for a sloth novels, but not this genera..

Not terrible.

A somewhat quick paced fantasy. Enjoyable, though less developed than I prefer from such tales. I might just continue this series.
