New world. New body.
Mind-blowing possibilities.
Maybe this world full of jaw-droppingly beautiful women and martial arts magic is just some sort of delusion.
Maybe this strong, capable body I’ve found myself in isn’t real.
But if it is, then there’s a path that could lead me to everything I’ve ever desired.
The training comes first.
Then the tournament.
After that...anything is possible.
I just need to survive to experience it all.
Inspired by the Wuxia, Xianxia, and Cultivation stories of Asian mythology, Champion is the complete trilogy in one book. It contains a shit-ton of magical, martial-arts action, and is set in a world where untraditional relationships are common.
If such things are not to your liking, you’re in the wrong place.

The story was also well-developed, as I grew to know the characters. Plenty of action and suspense kept me not wanting to stop listening/ reading.
What I initially came for was an effective hook to draw me into a very enjoyable story, and I am looking forward to reading/listening to the next volume in the series.
A stranger in a strange land in a strange body.

Pop culture references are fine but WAY too many, we get it felt like lazy writing in a few sections. Some of the audio you can hear them end the line and stop recording so some post production should have heard that, first 2 books FULL of it.
NOW the good.
Performers did great, i really like both of them both. Writing was on point most of the time. aside from the previous issues i had. The pace was pretty good, i like how the MC was humble and it's hard to find people to write a MC that way.
Overall good books and a joy to listen too.
Good Concept, too many pop culture references.

Now going on to correct some things. The biggest upvoted review is a hater that goes on about slavery and while I understand the sentiment that doesn't mean that the book is trash just that there is some backstory about something unpleasant. If you hate it that much fine don't buy it, return it, but don't say the entire 3 book for 1 price is terrible. That is like spreading rumors on an overheard conversation. You could have it wrong not hear the whole story or heard something out of context. By doing that you are potentially permanently scaring the person you are spreading rumors about. Same goes for reviews, reviews written with only an hour or two of actual listening can hurt the authors sails and reputation.
Second is the one about Christian J. Gilliland having made the main character sound like a frog. I disagree I don't know how else to say that one his voice sounds fine and if you don't believe me listen to the audio sample of this book or any one of his other books. (there are a lot)
Please think before you review. Negative reviews can hurt people's livelihood if you are not careful. That being said I hope you take this review as well as all the other ones you read with a grain of salt. All reviews are personal opinions and the only real way you should decide if a book a good or not is by reading the bio and listening to it yourself. Happy listening
P.S. After finishing book 3 I need to correct the story stars from 5 to 3.5. To me the third book leaves me lacking, much harder to get through all of it. That being said if I could rate the overall portion 4.5 stars I would. Still a credit I think you should spend 20 hours worth $10.
My Opinion on some reviews
