About this listen

Kellen Ryan has taken the survival skills she learned on the streets and used them to create an elite search-and-rescue operation, as well as the first home she's known in forever - a sanctuary in Haven, Colorado, high in the Rockies.

A small mountain town was the last place Harvard-educated Dr. Dana Kingston expected to find herself. Still, when she's offered an opportunity to partner with Kellen's operation and develop a medical triage center, Dana follows her heart. Dana falls hard and fast for the enigmatic Kellen. But she quickly realizes Kellen's heart is as carefully guarded as her past, and breaking through will take time. Except time is the one thing they may not have, because a deadly threat has returned, and this time he plans to finish what he started.

Good story but the narration for the characters voices was pretty awful in my opinion . I would have enjoyed it more if I just read the book.

Good story

What did you like best about Just Enough Light? What did you like least?

The plot is fine and the story entertaining. But the narrator is very hard to listen to. She has a repetitive cadence that does not relate to the sentence structure and at times she does sound like she is chuckling. Often it is overdramatic and kind of singsong. Overall it ruins the story and I would avoid listening to her if I could without missing the book.

Grating narrator

I loved the story, the characters, I didn't relate to the narration, Ms Rivers uses a childish voice, it sounds sometimes as if she is laughing, but putting that aside the story was excellent.

Great book

Loved it, listened to it all day. The characters came alive with Ruby's narration. Can not wait for the next one.

Entertaining

The story was not bad, but the narrator ruined most of it for me with the character voices, pausing where there shouldn’t be a pause, and making every sentence sound sarcastic.

Character voices awful

I love topics around the outdoors! The author did a get job and I'm looking forward to more books like this one!!

A good gripping story with enough action and drama. The performer clearly can't do the job efficiently, her "different characters" all sound dumb and child like. Even the voices of the main characters are poorly performed. The only reason to continue listening was the story but I felt like stopping many times. What a shame.

Quite interesting story; worst performance ever

The book is good.

The narrator sounds like everything is a joke. She can be reading the most tense serious passage and she sounds like she has a big old smile on her face. She makes kellen sound like a dumb ski bum and she makes the men sound like nerdy robots.

Sounds like reading on audible is new to her? I want to listen to more of an Quinn’s books, but not with this narrator.

No to this narrator.

narrator needed more voice change, had to focus on the story to stay attentive.

This story was amazing, but the robotic intonation took awhile to get used to. The narration does get better, but not the best I've heard on this application.

Great story. Robotic narration
