About this listen

It should have been simple, but life has a way of getting complicated.

When correspondent Tate McKenna broke her own rules and took navy pilot Lieutenant Commander Evan Kane home from an embassy dinner in Bahrain, she knew all the reasons why it wouldn't work. Long, unpredictable work hours. Extended absences. The dangers inherent in their jobs. Yet after being with Evan once, it was inconceivable she wouldn't be with her again.

When they finally have a chance to get things right, danger follows them home from Afghanistan. Now, Tate and Evan must stand together in a show of force or risk losing everything - including their lives.

An O.K. story

I'm glad I had already listened to Hostage Moon. I liked it much better then Show of Force. If I had listened to this one first I would not have gone on to the next.
Every time Tate promises to never leave Evans side in the hospital, she leaves! It made me crazy. All those "concerned" friends and relatives , and someone wasn't physically in the room at all times. Really!

Homage to our female heroes in the armed forces.

Riveting, romantic, and sometimes very tragic. The story kept me listening. The narration could have had a better delivery on some of the more horrifying segments of the story.

Heart stopping action from beginning to end

AJ Quinn did a great filling this book with heart stopping action, intrigue and high emotions. The book was also full of a beautiful love story and She did a great job bringing together new loves, healing families and great new friends. And as always Stella Bloom did an amazing job bringing all the characters (good and bad) to life. I highly recommend this book on several different levels. Loved this audiobook

Ver good.

This was a great story-wasn't my favorite narrator, though. It did keep me interested to the end.

Suspenseful romantic adventure.

I like a tough hero. Both women are heroes. This book was a bit scary, but a good read.

Story was good, Narrator was AWFUL

If you could sum up Show of Force in three words, what would they be?

Interesting. Sweet. Fun.

What did you like best about this story?

That no one had to get hurt for the two main characters to realize how much they love each other.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Her voice was very breathy, and the pace was so frantic regardless of what was actually going on. Tate continually sounded like she was on the verge of a nervous breakdown, even when all she was doing was walking across the room!

Any additional comments?

Again, the pace of the narrator was just ridiculous. Good thing I enjoyed the story, because listening to this reader was painful.

So good

I absolutely loved this book. I couldn't stop listening. It seriously was an easy listen. I like Stella Blooms voice she does a good job of male characters different. The voice she did for the bad guy was creepy enough to sometimes give me chills. I live in Seattle so i enjoyed that aspect of the story. I have had a lot of friends and family serve in the different services and the PTSD aspect was spot on. Such a good book most definitely going to be a repeat listener of this one.
