About this listen

Carly Phillips’ best-selling Kingston and Dare families merge with the heroes fans have been asking for!

A one-night stand with no names exchanged.

Four years later, she comes face-to-face with her baby’s father again.

Aurora Michaels isn’t the same girl she was that spring night. No longer homeless and living in the back room of a diner where she worked, she’s now a member of the wealthy Kingston family. She has her daughter, a career, and has adjusted to her new normal.

Billionaire Nick Dare is a man who takes charge. He runs the hotel arm of the family empire, and his life revolves around business and travel. A quick stop at his brother’s movie premier has him doing a double take.

The woman who haunts his dreams is there. He’s been given a second chance and is determined to make the most of it.

When he learns about their daughter, Nick becomes a man on a mission. Aurora and their child are his. Even if he has to knock down Aurora’s emotional walls to prove it.

I Loved the story even though it was a slow start. I just knew they’d find love together. I did not enjoy the change of narrators suddenly.

This is my favorite

This is my favorite so far. I know Aurora had issues but there wasn’t all that pushing away, misunderstanding. Nick loved her from the start, knew there were issues and took her feelings into account. I loved it!

Just one Dare !

This was far from just one dare to start up back with the Father of her child whom she thought she would never see again or so Aurora Kingston thought when she came face to face with Nick Dare after five years!
Nick Dare was still in love with the one who got away when they were just teenagers, but he could never forget her and those feelings came back full force after seeing her again after five years and finding out that he was also a father had him suddenly wanting more with Aurora Kingston and his daughter. Their story was definitely one of missed chances and miss communication filled with angst and self discovery. The narrators did a great job with the characters!
Definitely a an ok read for me

I struggled rating the narration

Jason Clarke is phenomenal and one of my very favorite narrators. Samantha Cook, though, is just okay. I think the talent is grossly mismatched in this book.

Good story

I liked the story and characters. Narrators were good.

What I didn’t like was how light the story was. Not enough angst when there should have been with the characters past.

Second Chance

Nick and Aurora finally find each other after a one night stand with no last names five years before. When he finds where she lives, he's surprised by his daughter that he had no way of knowing existed. Both of their big families accept the reason that they hadn't been in touch. This is a wonderful addition to this series. Jason Clarke and Samantha Cook are wonderful as Nick and Aurora.

Nick and Aurora

A heartwarming, emotional, and sweet second chance romance. Nick and Aurora are absolutely adorable together. I enjoyed going on this journey with them.
