About this listen

Lorna Kepler was beautiful and willful, a loner who couldn't resist flirting with danger. Maybe that's what killed her.

Her death had raised a host of tough questions. The cops suspected homicide, but they could find neither motive nor suspect. Even the means were mysterious: Lorna's body was so badly decomposed when it was discovered that they couldn't be certain she hadn't died of natural causes. In the way of overworked cops everywhere, the case was gradually shifted to the back burner and became another unsolved file. Only Lorna's mother kept it alive, consumed by the certainty that somebody out there had gotten away with murder. So she hired Kinsey Millhone, P.I.

The most haunting of Kinsley's stories I read.

When this story started I imagined Kinsey laying in bed staring at the ceiling. When the story ended I saw her in same place. I can't go an6 further without spoiling it.

Another stellar performance and mystery

Great story and characters. Keeps your mind buzzing with solutions. And the final ending is believable. There are good clues along the way

It's all in the narrator

I love listening to Sue Grafton's series, narrated by one of the BEST - Judy Kaye!

Very exciting

Seemed shorter than normal Millhone investigations but really really exciting! I prefer This Judy Kaye to Mary phieffer. Judy Kaye is the best narrator of all the alphabet mysteries.

Reader

Judy Kaye is the best reader ever.
I only wish she was still a reader...and I do miss Sue Grafton writing..
May she rest in peace..

Abridged--almost never a good bet!

While waiting for the next installment of the Kinsey books to come out (V is for Vengeance was the last one, so we are almost at the end of the alphabet) - I thought I would go back and pick up a few that I've missed. Since I really like the voice of Judy Kaye, I did not download the unabridged version. Big Mistake

Almost no character development, and jumping from one scene to the next with literally no connection between events was so frustrating. Hard to even tell what the story was actually about. No one to blame but myself- but maybe this will save someone else from doing the same thing.

Live and learn

K is for You Got to be Kidding Me

After listening to Michael Connelly, Charlene Harris, Dick Snyder, Phillip Schott, it was disappointing to hear this book.
I am killing time waiting for the next Michael Connelly, this book did not work for me.
