Very well done!

I am an Outlander fan and have been looking in vain for another time travel book. This fit the bill perfectly. I was impressed with Keira Stevens - she handled the accents and different characters admirably.

Thanks- I’ll go and download the rest of the series

Ok

I found it hard to relate with the female character maybe because I am 35 but she kinda annoyed me lol over all an on book for a romance novel. So far I read book one bought two hopefully the story gets better. Book one was alot of her being a kinda a cry baby. Lol

odd time travel novel

was different from my usual read. left too many holes in the tales with an ending that means a sequel is in the works.

Fantastic!!

I have eyed this series for awhile and went back and forth if I wanted to start it. Is this going to be another Outlander?

As it turns out...this was the binge series I was looking for!! It was so surprisingly fun and enjoyable!

Intriging Start to this Series

Title: Kailyn and the Highlander
Author: Diana Knightley
Format: Audio
Narrator: Keira Stevens
Romance: Romantic Suspense, Time Travel
Standalone: Mostly
Part of a Series: Book 1 of the Kaitlyn and the Highlander series (10 books so far)
POV: Kaitlyn
Steam Level: Slow burn
5/5

What a great start to this series! While Kaitlyn and the Highlander ends at a stopping point, the larger story is clearly not over. I cannot wait to see what happens in future books. Keira Stevens did a great job narrating this book, especially Magnus' brogue.

I received this book for free from Audiobook Obsession. This is my honest and voluntary review.

What an adventure!

Being a fan of outlander I was pleasantly surprised by knowing there was another time traveler Scottish series. This first book is so good. The narration is great too. I can’t wait to start the next book!

Amazing narration, perfect for a great book

First of all, this was an excellent narration. While it would have been great to have both a male and female narrator, Keira Stevens did a great accent and differentiating between characters. She also was amazing at infusing emotion into the narration and I loved listening to this story. I can't state enough how wonderful Keira was at telling this fantastic story.

In terms of the story, Kaitlyn has been having a bad few months and one night, meets a mysterious Scotsman, Magnus, and his mother. Magnus is a sweetheart- so appreciative of everything Kaitlyn did for him and Kaitlyn is also likable, especially given she looks out for Magnus and his mother. I was a little confused in the beginning because there wasn’t an explanation about what happened to get Magnus to this time but I just enjoyed the budding relationship between the characters. They had such great chemistry, first as friends (who were attracted to each other) and then as more. This is a slow burn friends to eventual lovers and the prose was really beautiful. It was emotional and I felt a range of emotions listening to this story. The 7 hours and 24 minutes flew by and I never wanted to turn it off. I really enjoyed the story and look forward to reading the other ones (or listening to them when they are available)

Such a fun series starter

I really enjoyed this listen from Diana Knightley, This is the first in a series of time-travel romance novels following Kaitlyn and Magnus, and it is so much fun, and just a pure delight.

Keira Stevens does a great job bringing Kaitlyn to life, and the she really captures the humor and the fun of these novel. The novel is very whimsical and full of humor. In this first novel, we get the background on Magnus's time travels, and the quick-moving but super loving relationship between Kaitlyn and Magnus.

Such a fun listen, and I'll definitely be listening to the rest of this series.
